Miyazaki's comments are so aggressive, is like he doesn't care if it will hurt your feelings, he's like so up front about it, just doesn't wanna leave it to himself, and that's what makes him a great animator,

Haha yeah indeed. I think his employees need to have quite a strong will to work with him.

I love his art, but he draws the same face, over and over. Still great, though

I would love to see how Naoki Urasawa draws his characters and Junji Ito draws expressions and realism

do you use clip studio? I'm curious what brush that is, I've been trying to make my own manga-ish brush and failing 😔
@GameArts14 күн бұрын
The pain to get your own set of favorite brushes is long and painful, I know that feeling. This one uses Procreate with a custom version of Gensinski? Ink brush. Nearly identical. Good luck!

I would definitely say with miyazaki's more detailed illustrations and concept art, he definitely has a heavy influence from the artist Mobius, a French illustrator( I had the make the correction) that actually used a lot of cross hatching shading, which emphasized roughness, and detail. You can see this in a lot of miyazaki's illustrations for the Nausicaa Manga, as well as Howl's moving Castle concept art, and much more.

I love his art. The first time I saw it was on my KoF 95' booklet for my Sega Saturn.

I don't know How Miyazaki can make so much Characters loom both Human and Toon at the same time, but i Always knew it was the Eye that make the Characters look so Balance.

He brought out their inner character that was touching to both one another and this is the audience. At least that's my take😊

7:30 - 7:39 .. the thing that miya sensei did it wrong in this 2 image was... Nausicaa never ever smile.

For the female faces he just drew boys with long hair and softer expressions 😂

For me, Hayao Miyazaki is an artist of the most beautiful and humane emotions. the Boy and the Heron was somewhat a controversial movie but even then; when i look at it objectively it had such emotional depth, understanding and richness in its themes. Leaved me with melancholia and all kinds of feelings just like any other of his movies. I dont think "high art" is an applicable term most of the times but some art just goes beyond the standard aesthetic pleasure and becomes something bigger and unexplainable. Funny thing he probably remembers them as pain in the asses😅
