I just got a used one for €300, the owner couldn't sell it. wait a few months and you'll find it at 50% on the shelves. I don’t know why people complaining so much, for me it’s not too bad.

Great review, but i have another opinion. When i personally tested the Suunto Ocean, there were missing features like dive planner, underwater usage of compass or stopwatch. Yes, there are competitors on the market like Apple watch, Garmin Fenix 8 (recently introduced, i didnt tested yet). In this price range is Suunto Ocean still good, but with huge disadvantage of the missing common features, which reduce the value per price ratio.

My eyes arent great (wear contacts) is it good to read or would an eon core/steel be a better choice for bigger screen?

Hey there! I have the SUUNTO Ocean and wear multifocal contacts (with close up lenses built in). I can just about read the numbers. However, if your eyesight is not great, I would recommend a dive computer that has larger digits that you can see better.

My Mares Smart Dive Computer do not do 3 min safety stop. How to do about it?

Just double-check that you do not have it in freedive or bottom time mode as this removes the safety stop function. in 99% of cases its because its set to bottom time not dive mode. Note it will not let you change mode for 24hrs after completing a dive.

After you do this leave the mask in the sun for a few days so the silicone can evaporate the remaining softeners. Otherwise they will settle right away back on the glass.

I have one. It’s worthless. The Hydros tries hard not to have pockets for fear of appearing like a jacket-style BCD, then they try to sell you junk like this so you can strap stuff all over it. There are plenty of places to tie a bungee on your Hydros without having to buy overpriced crap like the “multi-mount.”

Hi there! It sounds like your light's cap might be experiencing some pressure issues. This can happen if the light was secured at a higher altitude and then brought to a lower altitude (like moving from the mountains to the coast), causing a pressure differential. The same thing can happen with large temperature changes - if the unit was packed in a hot environment and then moved to a colder one, the pressure inside the light can create a vacuum or too much pressure, making the cap difficult to open. We recommend you avoid forcing it open, as this could damage the thread. Instead, it’s best to take the light to the dive centre or agent where you purchased it for them to assist. If you’ve been diving in saltwater, there may also be some salt build-up. In that case, soaking the light in fresh, room-temperature water for a few hours might help dissolve any salt and make it easier to open. Let us know if you need more assistance!

I know is an old video, but somehow came to me. I have been using this setup for many years, and sincerely I will miss the day it breaks. If you just make few dives a year during your holidays is a perfect and affordable equipment. I would go for transparent silicone anyhow, much better light and view under water.

Started using the Cyklon 300 regulator in 1978 and dove it through the 80’s. I was out of diving for a while and went right back to Poseidon and dive the Cyklon 5000 and XStream regulators now.

Oh, there are two holes on the bottom of the weight pocket holder. You put screws of the bracket through the holes. There are holes on the top of the holder too so you could attach two of these pockets per side.

@@aurorali323 this is a really annoying shortcoming. I do double tank boat dives and like to know what my bottom time is going to be on the next dive depending on my surface interval time - so that I can extend my surface interval if necessary, to maximise dive time :)
