Wow, you have done your homework! I would suggest the 4 following ideas. 1-purchase a rolling cart with metal baskets that can hold dirty dishes and glass wear. Place it to the left of sink. 2-move the copper pans and rack over to the wall where you show the iPad in the corner. 3-fix all the charts, post its out of sight of guests being able to view them. 4-consider making your table counter height with wheels if you need it for extra prep area. Now go sit in your dining room as a guest. All views for the guest should be pleasant and should not seem as if they were part of the chefs duties. Your flower arrangements are beautiful, very lovely, you are very talented. Consider the lighting in the dining room, the room does appear sorta dark. Great effort!

Great job getting things organised! I hate to hear you guys justifying ANY of your actions. You make the decisions that suit your situation, budget and taste. Period. You're doing a great job! We added a kitchen wing to our little cottage in the Provence and got our kitchen at IKEA. Avignon was close, easy, and quick. We're so happy with the results and won't worry if rental guests (or even our family!) damage anything. Keep up the good work :-D (and try to just ignore negative comments). BTW, I'm off to IKEA tomorrow to get some new cupboards for our laundry room.

Slow and steady wins the race! You have executed a beautiful plan to get the chateau into a cash flow mode....while staying within a tight budget. From a vanilla frosting of basic repairs and remodeling, you can focus on bringing color and flair in the future. It has been a brilliant plan and execution. Three heads are better than one! Very well done! I follow another chateau channel......The Queen's Escape....and she and her hubs have taken the same path...work with what you have, keep it simple and get it cash flowing. Now a year on, they are returning to each room of the chateau and giving her a little new "lipstick" and she will be as pretty as ever. Excellent plan and just Carry On! Cheers!

There was someone commented regarding the ikea kitchen saying Ugh perhaps she’d like to offer you the thousands of euros you would need to do a kitchen in keeping with a chateau I’m sure one day if and when you have the funds you would love to have an in keeping one with a chateau but now you need a working kitchen to hopefully earn the money for one love watching you your work ethic and your humour keep up the good work

I love the new layout that breakfast bar is perfect and in just the right spot! IKEA is a brilliant choice. Take it from someone who has had to order cabinets and waited months for them . not only that, but the cost of IKEA cabinets don’t make you feel bad if you have to make some “custom adjustments“. I think the kitchen looks wonderful and very efficient it will work well for all the meals you make when you have your 2024 guests. I personally like Ikea. We now have one in Eastern Canada and it is great because we are a University town (we have three University's plus a number of Colleges) so it's perfect for us.

Love the changes in the kitchen…much more practical. Kudos on the wineglass holder. Probably won’t be enough refrigerator space once you get into the busy season, but you have extra room in the kitchen for a third one 😃😃😜 great video guys

The kitchen looks amazing. Sitting here on my Ikea couch looking at my Ikea book cabinet I also don't understand why someone would have an issue with Ikea especially since it isn't their kitchen. Ikea is good quality and when cared for properly those cupboards will likely last just as long as custom bespoke ones. And one great advantage is that if you want to change things in the future they are easily disassembled.

Wow the kitchen is way more functional now and it looks great. I personally love ikea and the great thing about an Ikea kitchen is that it is easily removed if you want to change it up. I think it looks great and a good work area for the chef. Being a cook if the layout is bad it makes for a very inefficient kitchen and very difficult to work in never mind the tempers flaring up! lol. Another great job. Nothing wrong with an Ikea kitchen. If you're not building a 'heritage' kitchen, there's no reason to invest a lot of money. You want this to be a working kitchen, and this way if you need to change up the space down the road, it will be easy to do that. I think it looks like a pleasant, usable space.

Nothing wrong done with a IKEA kitchen. They are for private individuals who have time to shop, but it is not suitable for a carpenter to have to spend time in a department store. The quality is fine and easily lasts 10-15 years …!
