When i get the game, i hope there is a option or mod to deactivate the whistle. It's fun for the first 5 min but it gets annoying fast.

I have not had time to try Trainz 19 yet, but I love that it allows you to build a model railroad. So cool 😊

Definitely not a tip per see but i have gone the full capital spending/expenditure route. Loans, loans, and more loans. Buy, buy, and buy. Day 26 and i am 334,000 in debt but i have a powerful and expansive fleet and i average now almost 55,000 dollars in profit daily. With interest payments only every 4 or so days it is easy to make back the interest and desire to pay down. Truly though only pull loans to get equipment you know will give you a boost. Such as expanding you passenger trains, log cars, pulp cars, additional locomotives.

One day with Passenger Service is best to get the Sawmill at Tier 3 right away, but from there I prefer to expand to Alarka Jct as quick as possible because getting the Robinson Gap Coal mine up to a Tier 5 as quick as possible is the best strategy for income, then you can simply run coal to Whittier and build up funds before expanding the map further. I never do loans income from the Sawmill and Coal Mine is the fastest income generator. Yours is a great strategy too it depends on what your targets are some prefer long hauling right away, I prefer maximum income to purchase locomotives before opening the map up further.

Recently had to slow down to 1:1 time... railroad finally got too big to manage it in 2:1 by myself. Pulling 65 cars into Bryson, followed by an additional 37 on the overflow service. Then having to spend 2 hours hostling in the yard to serve the Bryson industries (modded.) Haven't en opened things up past Alarka yet. That's a good thing and a bad thing... this game eventually turns into a second job.

This was a bug. So yeah, this is an exploit of a old bug. Basically, at the end of the interest period, the game "forgot" to calculate the new interest amount based upon the outstanding loan. Within an interest period, things being pro-rated is just fair. Probably the devs should have just simplified it and charged 2% every day, instead of using an interest period. But it was fixed in 2024.5.0.

NOT an exploit. Basically the game charges you 2% a day, it is actually good that it doesn't add 10% if you take out a loan 1 day before the interest payment date, it should only add 2% because you only had the loan for a 1/5 of the interest period. This is much more fair than charging 10% for 1 day -- I am impressed with the developers that they thought of this and made the interest payment FAIR.

I hear they are working on fuctions for the caboose. Will be interesting to see what they are.

The audio with the CTC machine when it's actually transmitting the commands out into the field could use some work. In reality you'd hear all the different relays clicking and clacking when the commands are sent out, and then again when the equipment in the field would transmit back and allow the lights to change to signify that the track side equipment has done what it was commanded to do.

I'm interested in the new update they just released I believe yesterday. Haven't yet had any fun with it yet.

This adds a lot more rp ideas to the game. With someone manning the main line and any crews operating the sidings or the logging routes.

I’ve had very busy sessions on my LA&W railroad. Although it’s in Sandbox mode not company mode.

Something I've noticed that you may not be aware of, but if you make a train brake application, you can bail off the engine and tender brakes by moving the slider for the independent brake to the left slightly if you've got it in its released position. Something else is if you zoom in on the air pumps when they are building up air pressure, you can see the shafts moving up and down.

Have you tried out the "living railroad"? If so, what do you think about it?

I gotta look into this game. First watched episode 25 and was instantly intrigued.

I find the money cheat does not work. When properly entered, it just shows the current Balance. There must be some other hidden rules to make it work, besides being in sandbox and using a dollar sign with comma denoting the 1000 point. I would like to quickly expand out to Robinson Mine with a fully signaled RR and run the Mine at Tier 5 serving it with doubleheader C-55 locos, with a $150,000 cheat from Robinson Mine to quickly get up and running. Just got this shown by YT out of the blue, and it looked interesting to watch. Unfortunately I get too triggered by your voice moving between the left and right audiochannels :( Could I suggest putting your voice on a mono track if there is no reason to use stereo?

Thanks for posting this. CTC adds a whole new dimension to the game I reckon. I like to run CTC with the engine roster displayed to see the speed each train is going and being able to choose which train is shown in the hud and watching them take off when given the green light.🚂

Unfortunately Trainz is dropping TurfX. Horses and cows do a pretty good job of keeping fence lines clear for ranches.
