I'm guessing at this one. Eastern wild turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) Rough-legged hawk (Buteo lagopus)

You gotta get a hunting license for deer & turkeys. Then take your camera and your gun and bag a few trains (with your camera obviously) and bag some deer and turkeys for your freezer. Not that's good eatin'.🦌🦃😁🇺🇲
@PacificNWRailfan12 сағат бұрын
No doubt! The deer and turkeys are abundent around here. My son hunts turkeys, about the only good part is the breast, there's just too many tendons in the legs and thighs to make the edible. Thanks for watching my friend!

Great stuff, such a pity BNSF dont have a few more EMD Loco's, those turkey's aren't that bright either, are they worth roasting up to snack on ?
@PacificNWRailfan16 сағат бұрын
Thank you Damien! No doubt, I'm a big EMD fan myself! Those turkeys roast up good, but not a lot of meat. Good breast meat, the legs and thighs are fair, a lot of tendons to deal with! Thanks for watching my friend!

Hey Dave, the maintenance of way crew sure does need to do some resurfacing of that track through there because those locomotives and those cars bounce all over the place especially by those switches but anyway another awesome video my friend and you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
@PacificNWRailfan16 сағат бұрын
Thank you Timmy! BNSF actually maintains this line very well. I've noticed that trains seem to bounce and rock and roll going over switches all the time, and if one has the camera zoomed in, it really makes it look even worse! Thanks for watching my friend!

Nothing goes to waste. Crows, ravens, raptors, and turkeys all eat leftovers. I have about 50 turkeys here every day and they will finish off just about anything. They chase live mice down as well.
@PacificNWRailfan11 сағат бұрын
@@bruceflaws3213 It's amazing how fast a deer carcass gets devoured down to just bones! I didn't know they went after mice!

Yea, they know they are the top bird!! The ravens won't eat as long as the eagle is there, as soon as the eagle leaves, the ravens dig in! Sort of cool to see how their hierarchy works! Thanks for watching my friend!

The deer really like that location. Did a grain car spill some of their load there? Deer, bald eagles, and man's best friend mixed in with fast trains. Good stuff! 🐕🦺🦌🦅🇺🇲
@PacificNWRailfanКүн бұрын
Thank you John! There's some grain that blows off the top of the cars, but for the most part, the deer have learned that there's good food in town, including people that feed them, and basically we have an over abundance of deer in town. I guess it all works out, slow deer feed the scavengers! Thanks for watching my friend!

No deer harmed in the filming of this video🙏. You had me in suspense there😱! Thank God he ran the other direction, unlike his unlucky cousin being eaten. The eagle gets dibs. Crows were like, " Save some for us." Love bald eagles. Truly majestic creatures. Now, if you can combine the brains of the crow and the brawn of the eagle, stand clear, run! 🤣. Great video, Dave. The trains got out performed today. Nice to see your trusted companion with you! Now, only if there were puppy chow trains for him. Thanks for the video. My friend stay well roll on

Thank you Mark! I see this all the time with the deer and turkeys, it's amazing more of them don't get hit!. It's sort of cool to see how the hierarchy works between the bald eagles and the crows.
