Great Looking Scrambler! I would get new plugs. They may be the wrong heat range, or length? I always picture the 3rd to last owner, as being an absolute, idiot! lol! I ran AC Delco in my 78, CJ 7 for 300K. $300 for a carb? There's a AMC basic stock,1 barrel on Amazon for $84.00, or there's a Stock 2 Barrel, also there for $99.00 Both brand new from factory. I would test light the electric choke on yours, most likely a blown fuse, and would carbons up the plug. New plugs are cheap though. I replace the E choke with a $8 wire & Knob on the dash, hand choke. Works every time! If she's really been sitting for years???? Dump 2 cans of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner (not cheap, but there's nothing better) and then 10 gallons of fresh high test gas in her. Also order a few cases of Real Lemon Juice. Empty the cooling system, and fill with the lemon juice. It'll break down any rust in the block over a month, and most importantly in the heater box, inside the cab. You defiantly want heat in there, come winter time. lol! Your oil looks clean because it's been setting for so long, as soon as she warms up, all that carbon that was on those plugs (now caked on the bottom of the oil pan), is going to mix back in with that old oil. Never go "The Cheep Way" when your fixing any vehicle in Montana. It's a long walk to everywhere!!! lol! Dangerous Too!

Nice seeing you back. My question is do you recommend a hip replacement or hold out as long as possible?

Definitely consult your doctor- but it depends on a lot of things. Lifestyle- are you constantly on your feet, standing on concrete, agitating your hip,,etc? Can you tolerate pain? I know I'd have my asap while Joe waited 8 years. He wished he'd gotten it sooner, but life doesn't always go as planned. Your age?- hips don't last forever (30-35years). So how old will you be for the 2nd surgery? Is it a good time for surgery?- there's never a "good time" for surgery, but if you're about to be a parent, about to move, etc- some times are better than others. My words are just food for thought. You and your family should discuss "when" together. Sorry that you or someone you know has hip pain!! Thanks for the comment! ❤🐞

It was sad for us to leave you too 😢When Joe went into the hospital last September, and then again in October for 6 weeks, the build had to be moved to a shop. John with Auburn Car Repair and Offroad finished the build for us and did an awesome job! We will do a walk around and show what the Goat looks like now though! ❤🐞
