Mick Taylor was a little too much for Keith's ego.

Mick Taylor was the best blues player out of England imo, even better than Clapton and Peter Green.

STONES on one of their zeniths - Taylor is amazing like he ever was (but only with the STONES and with Dylan on "Infidels"), Keith does a rhythmpart shines like a gem, Bobby Keys blows for his life, Jagger great as ever, Charlie takes 'em to the top together with Wyman and all together (also those I don't know the names right now) did something everybody who loves pure, good, handmade rockmusic will never forget!

I saw the Stones twice during Mick Taylor’s era. Absolute magic. Ronnie Wood is capable,but not the caliber of musical creativity of Mick Taylor.

Can't have Stones live on KZbin. Nope, not allowed. The copyright owners need to keep making money on it. This is the only Live tune worth watching. Saw it on Japan Airlines once. Awesome.

the sax in this version is superb too, crying out a great melody

every stones song from that era has stood the test of time. I remember thinking ,why did they put the slow "soft rock" song Moonlight mile on sticky fingers instead of another blazing blues rock jam? But I eventually came around to loving that song too.
@JohnRich-d3d2 ай бұрын
try listening to the song BITCH out of the left channel and then the right channel. It separates Micks guitar from Keith's and oddly they both sound strange and it doesn't sound good at all. But somehow when the two guitars are heard at the same time, it may be the best guitar jam I have ever heard. I don't know how they wrote that but it is effin brilliant. Check it out, have your mind blown.

I haven't heard this live version before. I had a friend when I lived in the coastal area of So. California. He'd been to two Stones concerts and saw Bob Dylan live twice too. Another friend saw the Beatles and I saw Jimi Hendrix, Earth Wind and Fire, BB King, Muddy Water, and Neil Diamond. What a great time to be alive. This is a rich and exciting version to listen to... timeless!

Those years were a wonderful time to be young, alive, and love music. So many great bands. Even the intro bands were great. The best part was that it didn’t cost a weeks wages to go see a band.
@divalivingston16642 ай бұрын
@@jonantalvari1957So true about reasonably affordable concerts during that time especially in the beginning. I went to see Earth, Wind and Fire in a limousine from San Clemente to Lod Angeles. Had a little too much party that time but it was fun!

Mick Taylor montre tout son talent sur cette version, mais elle serait beaucoup moins extraordinaire sans les lignes de basse de Bill Wyman et le toucher de Charlie Watts ;
