Thanks for this explainer! I was in a Wren showroom recently on sale for about £475. I'm not regretting not taking it. Quick question: Iis there any sort of marker at al that shows the fill level of the tank during usage? Thanks!

My kitchen is dark green matt with more glossy white cupboards and a grey bench. I am using black handles with a few push to open handles where corners where the handles would interfere. Love the black veneered panelled pantry! Very beautiful with black glass cabinets in the above the hob. Just stunning ! I think where you've aded a little white and black with 2 other major shades works so nicely. (The third kitchen example). However, all kitchens you have shown are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I went for two tone because I couldn't decided which colour I wanted and then realised that all same colour kitchens can be boring and so after seeing your video, am feeling more confident about the two tone kitchen 🙏🏻💝

I heard the extractor that is on the cooktop just brings all the smoke and grease back down defeating the purpose

4:39 mark I love that kitchen with green chairs. I don't see any other green in the kitchen and I thought you have to use a color more then once. I love it but does the green need to be brought in another way as well?

The problem with induction hobs with built in extractors is that they are not that powerful in comparison with a conventional extractor

I have no wish to cause offence, but much as I am interested in this comparison I gave up after less than 3 minutes. There were a couple of issues for me. Firstly, the background music is intrusive and unnecessary. My second issue is your constant hand movements, which for me were very distracting. I wanted to concentrate on the information you had obviously worked hard to research, but unfortunately I couldn't. Sorry. No offence intended, just my honest feedback.

I appreciate your feedback. This was one of my earlier videos. I hope you enjoy the newer ones more. Can’t guarantee I’ll be able to stop the hand movements, I’m not in control of my hands when I talk 😅

@@_alishaakhtar I'm pleased (and relieved!) that you responded so graciously😌 I appreciate that some folks 'talk with their hands'. It's very expressive and goes well in face to face conversation. I guess I'm just an oldie with sluggish processing skills! 🧓🐌😆 Kind regards ☺

Hi enjoy your videos. 2 questions: what are the pros and cons in your view between quartz and porcelain (we did our kitchen 15 years ago so not familiar with properties of porcelain). We are looking to potentially buy a house and the kitchen there why not too old (probably 8 years or 10) is not fully to my taste (gloss cabinets, thin dark worktop) I don’t want to rip the kitchen out as it’s functional and prefer not too spend so much money but would like to update the worktop and fronts of cabinets. How best to get around doing that? Is it possible, do I need to use the same brand as original units? Sorry for the long message and thank you in advance

I am in a 2nd floor flat and the electrician says I don’t have the power supply for a standard induction (and layout means it would be very difficult to get this remedied). Have seen plug in inductions are available, are they any good?
@_alishaakhtar3 ай бұрын
That is unfortunate, unfortunately I don’t any experience with plug in options and so I can’t give you the best advice on this sorry. 😔

Great kitchen! We noticed a mirror used as back splash behind the hob. Is that a glass mirror? How do you manage the cooking heat and moisture from affecting the mirror edge from turning black?
@_alishaakhtar3 ай бұрын
When you have glass or mirrored glass behind a heat source like a gas hob it needs to be toughened glass. You can use regular glass in other areas of your kitchen (to bring the price down) but it needs to be toughened behind your hob.

All really beautiful, but I can't help wondering why nobody ever ever ever mentions laminate countertops. Not everyone can afford a quartz countertop or even more expensive, dekton. Laminate has also come a long way for countertops, but it never gets mentioned. I love all those beautiful stone countertops and backsplashes, but I simply can not afford it. Also, here in Belgium, laminate is used in new build projects all the time, unless you have the money to afford something more expensive 🤷🏼♀️
@_alishaakhtar3 ай бұрын
I completely understand where you are coming from. I can only talk about the materials I have personally experienced with. As a luxury kitchen designer I don’t work with any laminate and o so I can’t honestly give my opinion on it. So sorry that I’m not able to help in this area.

@_alishaakhtar •I can my dear Laminate is dreadful unless your 100% Sealed, Edged you can pay an absolute fortune we got Quoted £5,000 for one sheet Laminate ?My Parents purchased ours in 2018/2019 it's horrendous I have brought one wood top (Massive Butchers Sink ,it's white -But with wooden floor ,plus it's not gloss it's a modular kitchen .I looked everywhere £500 ?For everything ?The issue we had was (HALDEN'S .they purchased )My mum purchased Dove Grey Matt what was installed 😂Gloss white ?With me a TBI on crutches and my Dad on Oxygen and Blind a disaster plus the sink is not in the actual window and our window is huge -You have great ideas !I am going for water tight as possible for wood like Butchers Block solid wood ?How do you at least protect it apparently the owner has something it also has brand new Fridge Freezer

Does the albarium, with the chalky texture, have a higher likelihood to stain/not be easy to clean as a result ?
@_alishaakhtar6 ай бұрын
Nope, it is still a porcelain material and so it does not stain, pretty easy to clean too. I have made many beetroot salads on my kitchen worktop display in my showroom. 😁

I didn’t have to in my fridge as it is a display in my showroom so it doesn’t get much daily use and so didn’t need changing

Wow form over function. If you want your extractor to work properly, it needs to be at least 24 inches in-depth. And downdraft are the worse. But if you want to breathe all the chemicals and gases that extract from a gas range by all means take her advice.
@_alishaakhtar3 ай бұрын
Kitchen appliances are always evolving. Maybe downdraft extractors may not have been the best but they have come a long way and now they are amazing.
