Hey Alisha, we recently got dekton Awake's countertop . It's absolutely stunning. However, the edges have chipped twice. Would u able to do any video on the maintenance n how to safe guard it . Thank you

Great kitchen! We noticed a mirror used as back splash behind the hob. Is that a glass mirror? How do you manage the cooking heat and moisture from affecting the mirror edge from turning black?
@sassygirl640714 күн бұрын
All really beautiful, but I can't help wondering why nobody ever ever ever mentions laminate countertops. Not everyone can afford a quartz countertop or even more expensive, dekton. Laminate has also come a long way for countertops, but it never gets mentioned. I love all those beautiful stone countertops and backsplashes, but I simply can not afford it. Also, here in Belgium, laminate is used in new build projects all the time, unless you have the money to afford something more expensive 🤷🏼♀️

Does the albarium, with the chalky texture, have a higher likelihood to stain/not be easy to clean as a result ?
@_alishaakhtarАй бұрын
Nope, it is still a porcelain material and so it does not stain, pretty easy to clean too. I have made many beetroot salads on my kitchen worktop display in my showroom. 😁

Wow form over function. If you want your extractor to work properly, it needs to be at least 24 inches in-depth. And downdraft are the worse. But if you want to breathe all the chemicals and gases that extract from a gas range by all means take her advice.

Thank you for recommending these dekton options! I am considering the Argentine which has a plaster effect just like the Albarium but slightly darker and in a neutral grey. I do love calm and peaceful vibe you mentioned. The cabinets are going to be neutral muted medium walnut flat, basic panels. I think it will be a good combo. The only thing I am worried about is the chalky texture. I feel like it may be grippy when I wipe it with cloths.

Smaller bins are always better. Garbage insude for a long time smells awful. If you buy garbage bags and you buy large bags for a large bin you feel wasteful if its not full before it's taken out.
@_alishaakhtar6 ай бұрын
Some people may prefer smaller bins but if you have a quality bin you shouldn’t be smelling bad odours. Also smaller bins means you have to take out the bin constantly and if you have a family this can be very annoying. I’d say if you have a 1-3 person household then a smaller bin could work.

You are very talented and your work is so inspiring…loving your videos! Question regarding Condo living.. how would you make a galley kitchen luxurious when no walls can be removed? Having an island is not an option unfortunately, but maybe a peninsula. Have you designed kitchens for condos?
@_alishaakhtar6 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! By condo do you mean like an apartment? I design kitchens for all types of spaces. I would need to see your floor plans to help properly. I have 1:1 call option on my Stan store if you would like to discuss your kitchen reno with me.

Never grasped the ‘hide’ thing. Especially in a kitchen. If you’re hiding the fridge, why not hide the sink while you’re at it? Hide the counters, hide the oven…. yeah, very ergonomic
@_alishaakhtar7 ай бұрын
If you are after a minimal kitchen, something calming, having less finishes in your kitchen is a great way to achieve that. So hide the fridge would get rid on a huge stainless steel block in your kitchen. If my client wanted to also hide their counters, oven and sink… I can also design a kitchen which does that.

How quickly does the temperature drop? You said it boils quicker but say you’re making chai, will lowering the setting be enough to stop it overflowing in time?
@_alishaakhtar9 ай бұрын
It is almost instant. As the cooktop itself does not hold heat, when you reduce the temperature, the heat being received by the pot instantly stops. Of course if you prefer you can also easily move the pot to another area of the hob which is not in use.
