Here I am finding it easier and more convenient to move tasks away from computers all together and valuing my basic human rights over the convenience of leaving my doors and windows always open when I'm not home like people who are locked into cloud(someone else's computer) storage do with their data and let apple lock them in.

As someone who is somewhat platform agnostic (Ive used both Android and iOS), its actually kinda fun to go back and forth and compare feature updates. That said, Ive had Android be my daily flier due to the amount of freedom I have on Android (plug and play file sharing between my phone and computer, no iTunes needed?! YES, GIMME PLEASE!!)

The way Apple present their device is also very different to other tech companies, Apple usually focused on the experience of using their device whereas other brand will show off the raw spec sheets of their device which can cause information overload for us. Take their phone division for example, Apple only focuses on what their new 48 MP Ultrawide can do where their competitor mentions all the little detail even to the material of the lenses itself, and that makes Apple device looks more enticing to the masses because it's easy to understand what makes their products so great.

I know I’m brainwashed. I know I’m in a cult. And I’m fine with it. My Apple tech works and doesn’t get in my way of productivity. I know outside the garden there is an entirety different world that I have experienced but I’m not interested in. Also, great video!

Apple never told me anything i simple just bought an iPhones via my mobile carrier, even though full price seems expensive it was paid off in payments with the bill so i didn’t worry about, even if I chose an android phone it would be worth about the same and i could do everything i need to do on either device. As far as computers i look at hardware first and prefer to install linux, i recently added an imac to my linux computers. I was only able to get it due to a bonus at work. I saw an opportunity and took it. Regardless of what OS i’m still capable of doing what i need whether personal or business use cases. No one twisted my arm lol there was no brainwashing, this is absurd, and crazy that someone would sell their organ for any materialistic items.

I agree that it’s incredibly difficult to leave the apple ecosystem once you’re in it. I only have two main apple devices, an iPhone 13 mini and a 2nd Gen iPad pro, and I used to use an iMac as a family computer until I built my own Windows PC in 2019. I’m in a lucky position where I could lean for or against using apple when I upgrade without too much of a learning curve, since I have devices in both camps. But someone who’s never touched something that wasn’t an apple product would find it not only difficult to switch, but incredibly expensive too. And that doesn’t even touch on people needing to relearn how to do and create things in a different software, since apps like iMovie are apple exclusive.

The very first premise is in your assumption that Apple devices are luxury. You've been told they are luxury, but why? They are just computers, commodity. What is luxurious in them?

I buy iPhones only. Until the day they invent Face ID for Android. With that said I never paid more than 300 dollars for an iPhone. I sell my previous model. Sold my iPhone 13 Pro for 650. Bought the 15 pro brand new for 850. And I get 100 battery and warranty. My salary is 4200 per month. I don’t understand when people say Apple is expensive. Samsungs are the same price.

In terms of leaving the Apple ecosystem…I remember making a separate login on my MacBook (which included setting up a new iCloud account). After a few weeks I no longer needed that separate account so I removed it from my Mac, removed the Mac from FindMy on that account and deactivated/canceled that iCloud account. I remember getting an email with some number that I “needed to keep in case I needed to refer to that account in the future” or something to that effect. The overall tone of the message was “you don’t want to use our products? Fine. You’re nothing but a number now. Good luck finding someone with products and services that will serve you as well as ours do.” Not even a “thank you. We’re sorry to see you go” While I have no plans of actually leaving the Apple ecosystem because I remember falling in love with their products when I was in grade school and they were on the verge of bankruptcy it’s still crazy to know how if I were to leave they’d make me feel excommunicated.

I buy tech based on rational comaprison of performance, photo ability and weight (I don't want to carry a brick around, so no more than 185g) . I had phones from a few manufacturers (Xiaomi/Redmi, Nokia/Microsoft Lumia, Lenovo and Samsung - add Acer and Apple tablets). In therms of software I was the happiest with the Windows mobile, as it was smooth, well integrated with a PC and easy to use even with the cheaper model I had, on the other hand the Xiaomi's MIUI was absolutely perfect for me at the time I had it as it had crazy amount of options for customization (the system was quite a mess though), (Lenovo was terrible), the Samsung has great advatage of combining both the simplicity of a base android and customizability and also adds a lot of interconnection features with other Android devices (my relatives use either Samsung or Pixel, so it works great) and then there is the iOS/iPadOS - for me, it was the most user-unfriendly mess I have ever seen (with the exception of siri which I found quite useful from time to time). Otherwise, I just never understood the system and was furious when I found out that if you wanted to install some third party stuff from the internet, it breaks the warranty (back then it was way more strict than nowdays) so I never really used the thing much aside from watching movies and playing some games before buying my first gaming PC (a few months later). I had it for 6 years and as it doesn't support Apple pencil and was slowly getting worse I had to buy a new tablet for taking notes at school/entertainment/light productivity and as I have a samsung S22 and needed DeX (or some similar mode) I decided to go with tab s10 (I also got a 350$ discount on this thing, which made it viable for me to buy) and I am much happier with my new device than I was with the iPad and frankly can't understand what is the hype all about (aside from raw processing power) - the software is not customizable, it is simplified, phones are overpriced and the advantage of longer software updates than android is not true anymore (Samsung offers 7 years while some small companies do even more), so I don't understand why many people fall into this Apple trap, including my classmates (some of them are so brainwashed that they make fun of other people for having a Samsung phone even if it is more expensive and much better than their iPhone 11 from 5 years ago.

This is such a poorly written script. The video was well made but the narrative was incredibly delusional. What OS you use in your phone is not that complicated. And the way you portray a whole segment of the population to be brain dead because you assume that they buy a phone just cause they see a successful person use said phone, is in itself such a brain dead take. iPhone is a tool that gets the job done. You can get the job done using other tools too, but there isn’t an objective answer on which tool everyone needs to use. If someone wants to use an iPhone, so be it. If others want to use an android, great. Instead of worrying so much about what others use and why others use what they use, just make your own decision for yourself and call it a day.

I used to be a huge music person, and a couple of months ago I quit it. I miss it sometimes, but nowadays i feel less reliant on it and i feel more in the moment. Occasionally, songs still get stuck in my head. Regardless of whether i enjoy them or not, they feel more taunting rather than comforting.

I used to own both a Galaxy s10 and an iphone 12 mini (which had many broken features). i chose to use the iphone 12 mini for an unknown reason despite its flaws and inferiority to the S10 (in terms of speed, battery, camera, etc). I had always been an android user, and the 12 mini was the first apple product i owned myself. Despite the s10 being better in pretty much every single way, it was so difficult and took so long for me to finally snap out of the mental captivity of the iPhone.
