In my opinion, this moment here is when Leo finally reveals his true self. I've heard more than one person theorize that his way of coping with his insecurity was putting on various masks to hide it, as well as convince the others and himself that it wasn't there. Then this happened, and he was forced to see that it was harming both him and his family more than helping. So with nothing to lose, he finally makes himself take off his mask, and removes the last obstacle to him becoming the leader and hero he was all along, while retaining the qualities that make him unique to his counterparts. Fascinating character.

The reason there are a handful of "duo" Pokemon in Gen 3, like Plusle/Minun, is because it was the gen that introduced double battles. Why GameFreak thought any player would want to use two of almost the exact same Pokemon in a double battle I'll never understand. Gen 4 is my favorite gen so it was interesting seeing Marcus' thoughts, especially considering he's never played the game. Definitely agree on Arceus. I think it should always just have been a concept or myth in the Pokemon world, not something that could actually be caught by some 12 year old kid. It's got a cool gimmick though, even if I think Type:Null does the gimmick much better and is a cooler Pokemon.
