The reason there are a handful of "duo" Pokemon in Gen 3, like Plusle/Minun, is because it was the gen that introduced double battles. Why GameFreak thought any player would want to use two of almost the exact same Pokemon in a double battle I'll never understand. Gen 4 is my favorite gen so it was interesting seeing Marcus' thoughts, especially considering he's never played the game. Definitely agree on Arceus. I think it should always just have been a concept or myth in the Pokemon world, not something that could actually be caught by some 12 year old kid. It's got a cool gimmick though, even if I think Type:Null does the gimmick much better and is a cooler Pokemon.

Game Freak really nailed every starter up to gen 4 besides maybe 2 Pokèmon. Gen 5 is when things started to get rough. Ever since then the starters have been shit besides Greninja
