I'm loving my 2023 IS350 up here in Nova Scotia. It's been super fun in the snow so far. Do you know anyone who has supercharged a later model IS350? If I didn't need that AWD I'd already be driving an IS500 lol.

I have a 19 IS and i fucking love it ! I plan on keeping it for a long time . Its definitely not the fastest but the looks are so good and it has almost all the features more modern cars have. You should deff get a roof wrap and have the side mirrors wrapped too or get mirror caps . Those two things change up the look to the car

Great video man! This specific Lexus model and year are the best looking in my opinion. I highly suggest getting the $40 throttle controller on amazon. It will change your driving experience. I recently got the RR racing tune for my is300 awd (same v6 as i350) and after driving it after a few weeks, I have to say the throttle controller compliments it very well. I also was motivated to get an axleback exhaust for my car because of you and recently installed it. I personally never liked loud obnoxious cars but the one I installed is perfect, not too loud but makes it sound more sportier and aggressive and gives it character, from the moment it growls at start up to when you step on the gas. (Now I can relate on the lower MPGs because hearing that sound growl makes you want to floor it every time) haha I know you have a takeda intake installed. Whats your thoughts on it? I was wondering if you would suggest getting it? Would you say it affects the performance or mpg? Do you have any suggestions on intakes because everyone online says to either stay stock or go with k&n drop in. Whats your thoughts bro?
@Miko3IS9 күн бұрын
I never really looked into a throttle controller but honestly after this im gonna do some research. The takeda intake sounds great and also looks awesome in the engine bay. I wouldnt say it does too too much for performance gains but probably adds a little bit. I had someone comment on a video I posted saying the design of the intake I have doesnt suit the engine in the lexus as much as another one could but at this point im not gonna make any changes to it

@@prodigy6X04 How you liking the RR Tune? Was waiting for like a full year for them to come out with the 2019 IS300 Tune 😭
@prodigy6X048 күн бұрын
You get the most value if you're american because its just under 500 usd. If you are Canadian then its on the higher side of 800 cad. It definitely increases the throttle and can even be felt in eco mode. This tunr pairs well with a throttle controller as it makes for a smoother acceleration and faster. Without tune, the throttle controller can get jerky depending on the setting on the is300 awd. This tune won't turn ur vehicle into a super car but it is very beneficial for our car. I would recommend. Quite surprised on how theres not many reviews on the rr tune for the 17-20 is300 awd models online.

@@prodigy6X04 It’s because RR racing just unlocked the ECU for the 2019’s or something 😭 They literally just dropped the tune for 2019’s like maybeee a year ago, it was weird

Unless you get the 3.5L AWD IS300, that’s basically the exact same car, but the 4 cyclinder are boring to the definition, Also Having a 2019 and having driven a few of the 2022+ IS3s, the 2017-2020 suspension feels soooo much rawer than the new springs, the new springs feel like your in a dodge or something, doesn’t have that same road connection

LOL @ the tires complaint, been there but it's a necessary evil. I have consistently replaced all four tires every 15K miles (Michelin PS4S), it's just how the IS functions. ('06 IS350, '16 IS350 FSport, and my '22 IS500 FSport Premium) I'm at 34K miles and have only needed to machine the OEM rotors once within the first 7K miles. The calibration on this transmission makes it easier to perform engine-braking in the mountains and my learning curve warped them. I'm still on the original OEM pads and there's no vibrations during braking. These are great cars, thanks for posting!

Sounds great! Brave man turning off all the nannies when the temps aren't melting the snow. 😜 And no, the Beemer would NOT be able to take it. Sure the B58/S58 are more reliable than other Beemer engines, but everything else around it are crap. E.g., All the heat in the engine bay and most of the critical components are plastic. What could possibly go wrong? 😀The ISF would be too stiff on the daily, you should look into the used market for the IS500. (If you're looking to upgrade to it.) Thanks for posting!

I just installed the Start-X kit on my RC350. The Lexus IS folks have it easy bc i could NOT move my steering wheel out of the way.. it always goes back. Took me 57 mins exactly and only bc i cut my hand and had to get something to wrap it and also had to run back inside to get a long thin flathead. The ignition tab wasn’t terrible but the harness on the left was NO joke… i had no room for my hand. The fact you can get ur whole hand in there is wild. It’s not the same with the RC with power tilting/telescoping steering wheel.

Alright my opinion on my Lexus is 300 F sport 2018 fully PPF btw ok let’s get start got this car at 30k miles and I drove home from Michigan to Ohio and I got pulled over going 90 in a 70 the smoothest crustiest cop ever but smoothest drive of my life and I’ve had no problems whatsoever with this car coming from a Toyota Corolla 2010 it beat everything that car other than reliability and gas mileage. This 3IS does eat a lot of gas! But it’s worth every penny in the aspect you get a quick car sounds nice with or w/o aftermarket exhaust. The stereo system could be better but once again a very nice sound system. Maps could be Apple Maps but how popular was Apple Car play in 2018. I don’t have one problem with that car. I’ve put 17k miles on it since April 20th 2024 and it’s given everything a Lexus Toyota car ever would!
