Got this for my wife for Christmas for a 17' ES 350. She opened it, saw the jumble of wires, and her eyes got huge. I said relax, not my first remote start install and everything is on KZbin these days. Great job, I'll be doing this tomorrow and diving in knowing more or less what I'm in for. I just installed the Start-X kit on my RC350. The Lexus IS folks have it easy bc i could NOT move my steering wheel out of the way.. it always goes back. Took me 57 mins exactly and only bc i cut my hand and had to get something to wrap it and also had to run back inside to get a long thin flathead. The ignition tab wasn’t terrible but the harness on the left was NO joke… i had no room for my hand. The fact you can get ur whole hand in there is wild. It’s not the same with the RC with power tilting/telescoping steering wheel.

Awesome video I used to own a 2014 IS250 but now I have a 2019 ES350. My 2019 ES350 came with the remote start and mine does the same thing when you open the door the car shuts off. Anyway you got my support I clicked on the red sub button.

Hopefully it is similar for my wife's 2013 Honda CRV, it seems to be but I'm about to go try it now. I wish the manufacturer would have videos as well as the instructions online, would be a big help

It wasn't too bad, the instructions that come with it I think aren't all that great but I basically just T'ed in the connections and hooked up the ground and then it was just trying to find where to mount things and tucking the wires. Overall it was pretty easy, I did not install the hood sensor or the lights since the vehicle I installed it on has auto lights anyway and I don't care if it can start with the hood open.

​@@brianchorsaway2778 I'd just order it and give it a shot. They claim to have customer service that you can call for any technical questions. You could give it a shot and if you can't get it you aren't cutting any wires or anything so just plug back in the 2 plugs and then return it. Might as well give it a shot to save $200

Great install and mod however I think it kind of defeats the purpose if the car stops once you open the door. I can only see this being useful when its either hot or cold outside and you want to defrost or cool the car. Have you figured out how to bypass the car turning off when opening the door? Could it possibly have to do with the extra "kill switch" wires that you ended up not connecting?

@@Miko3IS Hows it holding up? I saw on youtube that theres a version for sale where it has a "take over" and has the drive off feature. So what happens when you open the door btw, does everthing shut off completely and you have to press the brake and push to start?

I have a 2014 IS 350. I heard you said you did it it on a 2014. How much difference is there?

if i remember correctly the only difference was the 2014 was tighter to work with meaning less space for your hands to get behind the column

No it doesnt automatically adjust the temprature but it turns on whatever setting you had before you turned the car off on the last drive

So my 2020 RX350 has the factory remote start installed, but Lexus expects me to pay them for their Enform APP subscription, which in my opinion is highway robbery. If I order this MPC kit, do I have to remove what is currently installed? Or does it just modify it? Any info from someone would be much appreciated.

Yea that does seem scummy having to pay for a remote start.. The MPC kit is compatible with the stock key and it works the same as the factory remote start (I think). Bit its deff the same key I use my regular key for the remote start

I did it on a 2014 IS250, it should be the same install but id just check out the website to make sure
