I bought the paydirt after this video. I have gone through a very small portion and have found 24 emeralds so far in addition tourmaline, red rutile, smokey quartz, quartz crystals, and rutilated quartz. There was so much mica that I used the larger mica flakes to decorate one side of my bird condo. I found some of the large red clay rocks were actually chunks of clay so I washed the small amount approx 10 times to get it nice and clean and found so many pieces of red rutile. I have had so much fun so far. Thank you for the video. 🙂

Great find !... I grew up near that part of NC. My dad would take my brother and I to the Ruby mine in the general area (Spruce Pine). Lots of fun finding small ruby shards all over the ground. We put them in a small jar filled with water, and let the sun make them gleam bright.

Thank for another great video Shane, I know how it is going through gems with a lot of dirt. I bought a bag of opal paydirt from the young guns opal mine in Australia I had to let it soak a few days the get the potch off the opals. It is a hard red clay .

I love that I found your KZbin channel. For the last 6 months I've been watching all the different channels but it seems like a lot of them don't let you know which Paydirt to not buy. I just bought a pan and sluice kit it came with some other things as well. I live in NC I know people find gold here. Where do I go to get a map of all the natural creeks or springs at? I want to buy paydirt but not sure who I want to buy it from, who I can trust. I love your channel keep it up
