I have similar thoughts, I wouldn't live in Canada. I have traveled through some of the far Eastern parts and the far Western parts. My partner and I just lost our cat of 11 years to almost the exact same situation. If they had scanned her chest, over her broken paw, on the Wednesday, we probably wouldn't have had the 2 extra days with her. Funny how that happens. Someone recently said to me that in their life, grieving a pet is harder than a human as pets are unconditional love. I recall seeing your story (I've followed you for gosh, is it almost 10 years now?) about Lily a week before ours and couldn't stop thinking about you both. Funny to now share in this strikingly similar experience. It was also the first time we've both see someone we love pass away in front of us.

I am so so so sorry for your loss she had a great life with her 2 amazing moms and her amazing human siblings and dog siblings run free Lilly in heaven
