I started buying the 12-pocket ones that are specifically made for the SV sets. The problem is they don't make those for special sets such as Shrouded Fable. I'm debating what to do for those special sets as they have WAY fewer cards and a 12-pocket binder that's the same size seems wasteful.

Dude the only place i could get cards over the holidays was at michaels. Or dollar general which surprisingly has older packs of pokémon cards.

Honestly if all the collectors & investors disappeared there is still going to be nasty comments about: deck choice (seriously try playing control in almost in TCG); meta; individual players and a whole bunch of stuff I’m sure you have seen. I take a scorched earth approach and avoid most online social media platforms, or at the very least the comment section.

That’s the other thing, opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one. And some are stinky 😂

I’ve always hated the value focused aspect of basically anything. But in our collectible world, it’s a really silly thought if you really break it down. We don’t know how rare some of these cards are because Pokémon doesn’t post pull rates. Imagine if they did a month after a release and you figure out like that rare charizard is actually not that rare lol. I get there’s an aspect where the value helps the tcg and stuff but it’s a very toxic realm of the community for sure

You're right about Greed. To add on to that statement, I feel that the players greed/jealousy also kills games as well. But ultimately a well thought out game will and should go on forever ever and players shouldn't feel like they're being fleeced for diving into their game. Most or probably all TCG's going down the wrong road. They're pushing for an addiction for the game (to make money as fast as possible) and less for the fun. This naturally happens because these games are built as a business. My point to all this is games don't need to be like this. Game's can be loved played forever and don't even need lore or art to be huge. [UNO, 21, Poker... and yes these are not TCG/CCG's but they still pull in huge money (mainly over time) and people do collect them as well.]

The only two grading orders Ive done is with degree. Love how easy and affordable they are to use. I also had label issues with one of my orders since they do their own research and sometimes that can be rough.

My local scene (SW Ohio) has died completely. It used to be massive but the latest set has almost tanked my lgs because they bought tons of the latest set expecting demand and nobody is buying or showing up. Genuinely just fell off a cliff. It's not my particular tcg so I can't say for sure, but I think most of the local scene for it was just disney fans more than tcg players. And I don't think they were prepared for meta shifts, etc.

As an indie CCG, this resonates. I spent a good chunk of my market research focusing on what would make The Condemned financially enticing for store owners as well as making the game fun and easy to justify for the store's patrons. The hardest part for me right now is just getting the word out and getting into the public zeitgeist. I don't have a massive marketing budget. I absolutely cannot afford to drop 5 figures to sell the game to people. I'm still plugging away, trying to get that organic growth going. It's not easy, and sometimes it can feel like I'm smashing my head against a brick wall. Minus the concussion, of course... If I sent you some booster packs, would you have any interest in checking it out? I'd even offer extra content for you in the form of a video interview. Something to help you get more videos out to the public.

From what I've seen looks like degree 9 means psa 10 so that would mean that degree should have a higher resale value at 10 than psa.
