When you are doing the HDC across are you going through the back loop?
@sarrafoerster758320 күн бұрын
I’ll say as an intermediate crocheter, I’ve never seen a pattern that said “make 72 sc around evenly, 18 sc per each 1/4th section”. It’s a little unsettling to me that the brim isn’t an even number to set up for the rest of the hat without genuinely just winging it 😂 it’s stressing me out.

Update: I finished the hat. Used 4.5mm hook, weight 4 yarn from Hobby Lobby, worked the child sizing. I initially wanted it to be for my 5 year old son whose head is in the 99th percentile, but it’s way too big for him. It’s a little big on me. Not sure where I went wrong here. The smaller hook size should have made it smaller than even the pattern was saying, but maybe my tension is looser. Will try again, probably with a weight 3 yarn

I cannot get the row 2 from row 3 correct. You're going too fast. If you count the first two single crochets of row 3 after you turn there is no way you get to 9 at the next color. Not where you're joining it. It doesn't make sense where you're putting those crochets at too make it work. My joins are off enough that it doesn't look like the rest of the project. No matter how many times I rewatch the video over and over, I don't understand. Please help.

Did she skip round 7?
@gracieess71678 ай бұрын
I just realized that row 7 was mostly skipped; while near the end of row 6 (SC) it suddenly changed. You were doing back loop SC and then it was row 8. Happy I am not a novice crocheter; that would have confused me.

I am so grateful I found your blanket to make! I’m currently on my 4th square (I’m making 1 of each to know how to do the stitches and I’m never going to chain again now that you have taught me foundation chaining! Omgsh what a game changer this is!! I’ve seen it before from a few other people and never really understood it until your tutorials!!! Thank you for this! And btw your blanket is gorgeous! I’m making mine a little altered. I’m using hue+me in 6 colors so I’ve had to change my counts but still making 7” squares that turn into 8” once the boarder is added and in love so far!

You need to explain each row. You jump to next row and don't explain what you're doing. So confusing

Love the pattern. Making preemie size. When I get to Rnd 12-14 do I join or keep going after each Rnd? Not sure where I should join.
