Its not a matter of hate, its a matter of the ruthless calculus of capitalism. The Dead Space Remake had a peak player count of 30,000 on Steam at launch, which is not impressive in the slightest. Estimates on its total unit sales, even 2 years after launch, are still only a little over 1 million, maybe 2 million if we assume it did equally well on consoles. To put that in perspective, a triple A single-player game would need to sell 1 million within just the first few weeks after launch to be considered successful. Any way you slice it, money is what talks for triple A publishers, especially EA, and the Dead Space remake was a bomb. Before you think I hate this game or the franchise, I absolutely loved the Dead Space remake and have been a fan of the series since Dead Space 2. Isaac Clarke is literally my favorite video game protagonist ever. Its incredibly sad for me that the future of this series is so bleak, but the reality is that "hate" doesn't factor into this conversation at all. What makes the business world so frightening and inhuman is that none of these decisions are based on emotion at all, just numbers. I take no pleasure in saying this, but I highly doubt we will ever see another Dead Space game, whether as a remake or another mainline title, and I also highly doubt EA will sell the license to another publisher.

I think I may have a controversial opinion, but Bl3 is the best game in the series. Bl2 is heavily overrated. The Bounty of Blood DLC is my favorite in the whole series. The main thing I dislike from bl3 is the main story. Bl3 has amazing graphics with a lot of the areas looking really cool. I think bl2 and 1 don’t really have this. The gun play in Bl3 is far more unique and fun to play. The movement is also really nice. Bl2 did do the skill trees better though and the characters were more unique. I also think the mayhem levels are better than the OP. Mayhem has potential to be better.

Should we be ready for a potential Doom event, too? When Doom: The Dark Ages releases? Given that Activision and Bethesda have both been bought out by Xbox. Maybe that'll come with a Doom Slayer operator, too. And hell demons in Zombies.

Ironically, dead space 1 and 2 remakes are games id happily pay £70 for. Loved dead space when I was younger and the remake was amazing.

Played 3 hours today day of release and didn’t have any problems other than the one caused by the game being on a HDD, but moving it on to my boot SDD solved that issue. There was also a slight stutter but turning off motion blur solved that.

Dead Space Remake was doomed from the start. EA closed Visceral, then started to work on remake without body going completely cold. They aged Nicole to start with and people saw that with trailers. And trailers was less of a creep factor, but had Dead Space 3 vibe of a "modern game". Speaking of things we saw after this game was dropped in Game Pass: change of Kendra character and motivations; change of Nicole story; dishonoured change to Hammond; unneeded change in how you acquire weapons; simplification of the combat; and last thing I bother to name is scaling down the environment. Remake did a cardinal sin of scaling down Ishimura from a giant planet cracker to a submarine state. Remake was doomed to fail from the beginning and nothing EA said or done could change it, specifically after we had lacklustre remake of Resident Evil 3.

They should have rebooted the franchise after 2.... crash bandicoot style since the 3rd story was no longer horror and just an action game through and through, which was super lame and boring compared to the horrors of 1 and 2 sucks plus the story got to action sci fi bs like the aliens franchise how it lost its horror and became just solely action.... not the move for that type of world to do a 180 into just action slop. More explosions, you know that ability we made to throw stuff at enemies? Fuck it let's just allow you throw the said enemies into space 😂 some one else's problem I guess. Just to have the power trip when that's not what deadspace was

Only issue of Dead Space is that its IP belongs to EA… Imagine if after Dead Space Remake, its ip got sold out from EA imagine the possibilities…

The game was doomed from the beginning. Its a miracle that they made 2 more game and then even a remake. When EA is in charge it means it must generate a lot of money. While DS is horror in its core and horror games cant produce enough profit especially by EA standards. If publisher were THQ Nordic or similar companies, we would have a completely different story

The vault hunters looked bad. As far as I know we only have a tiny clip to go on and the only disappointment I've seen. 3's gameplay was excellent, we just hated the woke antagonists and the terrible writing. Tina's was better in that aspect, hopefully they at least have those two things as passable. If the rest of the game is on par with their last two releases, then were good.

i'm optimistic neutral. i want the game to be good but if it isn't then whatever. Desighn of the V Hunters doesn't really mattered to me, i just want the characters and humor to be better then in Borderlands 3

DS2 may not need much of a remake anyway. DS4 is a different tale.

Borderlands 2 is still one of the best games i ever played. Borderlands 3 played pretty well but the story was really bad.... I am careful about borderlands 4... I aint getting my hopes up....

I wasnt rlly that pressed about the deaths of the OG Vault Hunters I mean its a part of the life to let it go and creat new eras so after all cant wait for BL franchise to continue and im rlly glad they did a BL4 🙏

In all honesty I’m excited for borderlands 4 the game play has only gotten better each game besides the pre sequel. The art all looks the same (cartoony) haven’t had a problem with it. Just looking for them to make another good story that is dark but has its humor that they traditionally put in to lighten the mood. The only real reason I can think of for borderlands 3 not being as popular was due to the company pushing the streamers, girl power, having to include characters that are homosexual/ bi etc. I think people are just tired of every game and show having to include all of this just to pat themselves in the back and feel like they are a modern company. But we will see what they have to offer this year. I can see how some people felt getting legendaries was to easy n adding mayhem levels kinda felt unnecessary but in reality no one had to play on them I would also really love to see return of the invincible boss fights. Kinda miss having multiple options

I enjoyed the game up until endgame, the chaos levels were so trash to grind until they raised the cap making earlier levels easier to get since they gave them to you at 5 a piece until chaos 50. I honestly expected a bunch of different dnd expansions as the dlc but instead we got the trash fire we have now. Imagine if those other characters actually told their own stories after tina got over her issues at the end, having tina as the helper instead of them would have been great.

Pitchford is missing the point and how much old characters (playable) that did not die bringing value to the game. Zero could have been playable and should have been. I haven’t really liked but about half or less of the playable characters since BL2. Smh

I am gonna do what i've always done, I am gomna replay broderlands 1, 2 , the presequel an old games until developers and publishers learn to respect their playerbase

I mean I kind of think its ridiculous to think every female main character should be barbarella. I mean the looks is the most constant complaint I see. I'm totally fine with the other complaints about her seeming to be annoying from the little we got to see. But it was just a reveal trailer.
