I bought this 3d printer for myself as a Christmas gift for 145 dollars on the Facebook marketplace. For someone who knows squat about 3d printing. I was printing my first figure within 20 minutes after downloading the app on my phone. Best 145 dollars I have ever spent. Thank you Ankermake for making this easy to use 3d printer. Anyone can use it.

This is very helpful, i think this works great as a beginner printer because it is easy to set up and use but you still have to learn a bit about the software so it sets you up for your second printer

I have a brief thought here... What if a lithophane was printed on a delta printer? There is no bed movement & image/product quality could improved b/c there is no bed movement with a delta printer. What if a side by side comparison standard XYZ printer movement (standard printer) vs a Delta RIg. I suspect the Delta will have better quality of product output. Just a thought... Again, thank you for wat you are doing! John

You did good to use Orca, I have fought Creality Slicers for way to long and over the years have come to the conclusion that the Creality software is JUNK starting with their slicer, to their app for your phone to the cloud service. Junk, junk and more junk.

How did you 3D print this with the overhangs? I really like the way you explain how to use FreeCAD, perhaps you can do some tutorials on the 1.0 version! Anyhow Subscribed and Liked :)

In case no one has already told you, converting from PNG to SVG does not make it a vector. SVG is a container file, like PDF. Converting PNG to SVG just gives you an SVG file that contains a PNG image. It's still a raster image and is not going to scale any better than the original PNG would have. :)

They’re on both desktop and online applications that trace PNG files and create vectorized SVG files.

I just came across this video because our son wants a Resin printer for Christmas. After doing research we decided to get him the Mars 4 9k along with the mercury plus bundle. We hope he likes it and will use it. I am also saving this video to send him after he opens it as a starter after reading all the directions. I also am going to try using it as well for D&D miniatures and such. I am much older but got into playing the game again after my son and his friends started playing it. Its much more fun with pieces you can move around on a battle map. All the info in this video is great and it covered some things that i did not think to need or even get but now we might need them. Thanks. And just because of this video i subscribed to the channel

Cura 5 inexplicably removed "fill gaps between walls" and "fill tiny gaps". You will now need to set the "Minimum wall line width" to achieve solid parts, this parameter defaults to 85% of the nozzle width

Because its under built, a micro set screw is bs. Ripped mine out after a month, mine dripped and leaked and nozzle always loose till it finally stripped. I had a stock hotend for a year with no ptoblems and this pos lasted a month.

It is easy to fix the ghosting on this machine. The wheels are of very poor quality and have play in them. When I replaced them many of them fell apart in my hands. New wheels removed all play from the bed and print unit and print quality improved very much. Nice review!

I am intend to buy a FISun and have one specific question about the building volume: i need to know if the printer is able to print a diameter of 37mm at a height of 322mm ? Due to the delta config i was reading that 260mm is limited to around 275mm and from there the max moving to the center.

Systems similar to gcode have been around for at least 50 years. Robot arms used in the 80s had similar instruction languages. Before printers were plotters which evolved into vinyl cutters and they came from the 60s. New tech evolves from old tech. We all owe our forbears respect.

Nicely done. I'm a total 3D newbie and I purchased this printer roughly two weeks before this video was posted. I've been loving just about every minute of the experience, so thank you for affirming that I made a good choice. That said, I did not have nearly the positive experiences with Creality filament that you did. One roll snarled all over itself repeatedly (in spite of being properly mounted and monitored) ruining several prints, and another had no bed adhesion whatsoever . .both of which are issues I've not experienced with any other brand of PLA so far.

I'm looking at a second hand machine as a noob. Good choice? What should I be looking for when I go to pick it up? Also, he says I'm getting just the printer w no tools or manual. Should there be tools? Guessing I can find the manual on line.

I was having a hard time, whatever I did. Clean, level, glue stick,… Now, as soon as possible, I’ll tape the skirt down and/or tack a half dozen points with glue while it’s printing. Right after the first couple layers. Been 100% success since.

In my case the model has some area in the middle that are close to horizontal or even horizontal. They are considered by the Slicer (in my case I have tried Cura and Prusa) as a top layer and if I set top layer as zero they become zero too and missing, So the next layers will be printed on nothing. Is there a solution that I can set zero only for the topmost layers? I haven't found a solution yet. Right now I do it by giving it 6 top layers and deleting 6 layers from the end of the G-code manually.

I wonder why Creality didn’t just add some spring rewind to the filament holder, surely that is easy enough and a properly engineered way to deal with the spare filament issue. Good detailed explanations, you really are achieving your goal of making useful information available. Now about the units, 22:47 300m/s is approaching the speed of sound in air. That is some fast printing. What is your opinion on the bed x movement at high speeds when the print gets tall, this seems like a weak aspect for a bed slinger? After your tower test it seems that it’s not a problem but does this need to be tested? I see that excessive retraction print you showed at the end was also printed at the speed of sound, I very can’t believe it ever got up to that speed, even if you meant mm/s
