Important Update: In response to feedback from my viewers the ability to download OpenSCAD scripts used as templates in the platform will now be included in the free subscription. Thank you to all of my viewers for your feedback. I do my best to listen to all comments weather of not I agree with them.

Thanks for making educational video. I’ve never seen someone who could articulate like you. Learners any age/level could watch your videos and have fun with making things. Not only I’ve improved my technical skills, but also I start to understand the art of educating. You are doing a huge favor by sharing your wisdom. Thank you so much again and I hope you have a happy holiday.

Thanks. Lots of new models coming locally to the platform in the next 60 days.

Looks like you've made some big leaps in functionality of the site! Excellent work! I'm a bit surprised, though, at making the openscad source code available only behind a paywall. I know you need to fund the site somehow, but these are open source models, in the end. Please consider some compromise like each verified user gets access to five models' source a year for free, and after that they have pay.

Thanks for the excellent comment. I understand your point of view and will consider alternatives. We now have a team working on the application headed for a V1 release in Q1. Very exciting new capabilities coming to the customizer and to the overall creator environment.

Hi I’m trying to find out why my creality c10 won’t print with a filament speed of 100%. I’ve tried altering the speed in cura, but the c10 doesn’t change. It only prints correctly when after I start the print I tune speed to 200. I know this isn’t relative to the video, but can’t get an answer from anywhere I’ve tried

I am not familiar with this problem. Try posting it at forum.makewithtech.com

Unrelated to this video. Saw all your videos on the Monoprice MP10 and was wondering what your final opinion on this printer is. It's on Amazon right now for $224.99, which is a lower price than when you were reviewing 3 tears ago. May pick it up if it's a decent printer for that price. Thanks

Hi Irv! I couldn't sleep so I made some food and turned on the computer. I noticed a new video which I know is going to be good! I'm actually first for a change! Have a nice night Irv, love your channel!

I've now had a look at the models.MWT website. In the panel about the premium version it mentions a SCAD editor. Is that working yet? IMHO all the tedious and error prone typing needed to create an OpenScad model is the biggest obstacle to its use and it would be great if your website simplifies that. I like programming and, conceptually, OpenScad is easy for me. But I still hate all the typing and I've been building a Python program that allows me to create the models just by typing the dimensions and positions. Python writes all the tedious code.

Hi Irv :) We are introducing people who are new to 3D printing, into 3D printing. Would it be possible to interview you?

Why not just use Open Scad in the first place? With Scad and Tinkercad along with freecad and onshape why would anyone pay for this?
@MakeWithTech2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. If you are comfortable using traditional tools you have no need for an online customizer. This is for users who are not comfortable with traditional tools.

I like your videos. This is an interesting idea. Is it possible to download the design and render it myself to avoid the queue? And I note that you forgot to include a link to models.makewithtech !
@MakeWithTech2 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course. After January you will need a subscription to download the scad file locally but rendering on the platform which is probably faster than on your local computer will always be free.
