I got the pasmo app and added the card to Apple wallet. Pasmo account was difficult to setup because everything was in Japanese and I had to enter my name in Japanese characters. Also I had to use a Revolut card on my Apple wallet loaded with yen to load the pasmo card because visa and Mastercards both didn’t work for me. I heard amex cards will work though.

When family visited New York we looked so helpless our first time in the subway station that some woman just knew we were tourists, and told us exactly how to get to where we were going.

Tokyo isn't the most populous city in the world, it's Chongqing (formerly Chungking). Chongqing is the size of Austria. Its urban areas are higher in population than the Tokyo city proper. Lumping Tokyo with nearby cities to call it 'Greater Tokyo' and the most populated area in the world is cheating. If you tried doing that with several cities in China, you'd have even higher numbers. Visit Chongqing one day--it's out of this world.

I don't know why you say to ignore the T in Tsukiji. It's not silent or anything, so it's definitely not pronounced "Sukiji". Do pronounce the consonant cluster ts. Take it from this native speaker.

..as late as the late 1970s they used to have Lockers they rented. If I recall a key remained in the door and one paid to remove it. It was placed back to unlock the door. I never rented one- Im sure there was illegal drop offs of drugs ( mostly Weed) and cash. I could be wrong on the details of renting- but they did exist. Maybe someone can enlighten us. Hey Thanx again kiddo!

3:39 Huh? Even at 253 miles it would be the absolute longest in Europe, not 6th. Did you mean 6th in the WORLD? Which likely was when this video was made. It has since expanded to 298 miles in length, which comfortably solidifies it as the longest it Europe, but due to the fast paced expansion of Chinese systems it dropped down to 10th largest in the World. It's the only non-Chinese city in the top 10.

Wrong title. Paris was not « built as a snail » which would mean the 20th arrondissement has been built after the 19th etc ! The « snail » is only the system/the logic (maybe inspired by famous Fibonacci suite system ?) Haussmann used to name the arrondissements when, in 1860, he extended and reorganized Paris. From 12 arrondissements before, Paris then had 20 arrondissements. A KZbinr should not mess up with the history of Paris but leave it to historians.

As a parent of 5 and 7 year old boys who are well traveled, as parents we over think how much they will have. They could have fun on a simple beach or inexpensive destination. It doesn’t have to be lavish or extreme.

Potrero Hill also has streets that run north/south named after US States. Back in the 90's I used to live on Wisconsin in Protero Hill. The "numbered" streets run east/west while the "state" streets are perpendicular and run N/S.

the "problem with transit maps" being that they don't show you distance between stations is not really that problematic, you don't need to know where you are or the distance between stations, you only really need to know how to get to your final destination from your original station and the connections you need to make in-between. I don't see the supposed problem as a problem tbh.

Out in the numbered "Avenues" there is a trick to figure if the address is north of "golden state" park in the Richmond or south in the Sunset. Three digits for the Richmond, four for the Sunset....
