my old suv the roof racks were vertical and had slots along the side . My new suv one has cross bars ..I'm like whats the best way to fasten ? Thanks il go with this way

with the second trolley, does one have to take out the rubber inserts to insert the prongs and if so wouldn't that cause damage from movement?

Yea fins should go in front, if the straps come loose on the highway this keeps the board from flying into the cars behind you

Placing the cart close to the balance point of the kayak/canoe will reduce the load at your end.

We always put fins up and FORWARD, so there is no chance of boards slipping out through the straps, should they come lose. (If you need to strap down multiple boards: stagger them on top of each other, with a towel between each board, behind lower boards fins).I think lots of people needed this video. Thank you!

Most people don’t just drive around with it on the roof. Typically they do this when they’re planning on hitting the river or lake.

J hooks are an absolute waste. We got rid of ours. I found they complicated the entire mounting process. Also they did not feel secure as the way he shows in this video.

Fins should be in the front, also use rack pads unless you hate your board…
