I don't like assuming bad faith but the idea that we're not getting enough informed consent is asinine. The average trans person ends up becoming an amateur endocrinologist on their way to even getting hormones in the first place. What's more it only takes like a month to realize if you like the effects of hrt. I think we need to remove the stigma of detransitioning as it truly isn't for everyone. You should feel the freedom to opt out of transitioning at anytime. I hope the best for this person. Truly. The other 99.99% of trans people who are just living our lives are still going to be here. Maybe you'd like to hear our stories as well.

legitimate question from an old guy who knows nothing about the topic: clearly you must be aware that we cannot turn men into women or vice versa. we simply dont have the technology yet. so all you're doing is carve urself up a little bit, put on a dress and some makeup and voila, ur still a guy with missing body parts and horrifying wounds. so what exactly did you think u were "transitioning" into? if i woke up as a woman one day due to black magic or something id just roll with it and hopefully I could persuade my wife into some lesbian action. i just dont get it.

This conversation is so important because a lot of people in the trans community, including the majority people I know, act like taking hormones is no big deal, they act like it's reversible & that health effects are rare but that's just not true. As a 30 something year old I was on testosterone only for a couple of months. I got it from Planned Parenthood, the people who prescribed it basically had no idea what they were doing. They didn't screen me for mental health or health risks whatsoever. I started having some pretty severe side effects pretty quickly and I wanted to stop but I also felt addicted to the testosterone. Luckily I was able to quit cold turkey but there was damage that was done and it took me about a year to really bounce back, some things will remain changed because I have a hormonal disorder and I should have been screened for that before I was prescribed cross sex hormones but there were no barriers to access. I don't believe in banning HRT but I think that there does need to be some gatekeeping and there needs to be safeguards in place because taking cross sex hormones can be very dangerous and can lead to lifelong health complications and even in some cases death.

Can't wait to hear about your experience with the dermaroller. I tried a facial dermaroller a few times and was interested about the application to the scalp. Yay for a new video! 🎉 Happy smiles. And your mom is awesome! ❤ Tell her "Hi from another mother in America!"

You are misinformed. Children do not get hrt. At earliest. Age 12 they get puberty blockers. 5:30 Also me watching this on my 6th month of E. I just want more estrogen. More!!👁️👄👁️ And also. God doesn't exist.

Dude, don't dwell on the past. Find your purpose and attack it. You have a lot of life ahead of you and there is all kinds of opportunity out there. I understand the mental anguish that comes with your situation but you need to find your purpose and have that occupy the majority of your waking hours. It can be done.

This WORLD needs to put a total end to the LIE and GASLIGHTING and FRAUD that the INDUSTRY of "transgenderism" feeds on. GENDER CAN NOT BE CHANGED NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT. You can, however, be neutered, butchered by an insane hack of a surgeon, and put together with your bits scrambled WHICH DOES NOT MAKE YOU THE OTHER GENDER.

Just a thought, but "informed consent" doesn't mean we know everything about what HRT does. If you are simply aware that we don't know, then you are still making an informed decision. :)

I do really feel badly for people who detransition, but there is so much misinformation in narratives like these that I wonder if the motives are genuine. There's a lot of questionable stuff here, but the main red flag for anyone watching should be the talk of playing God and the claim that transitioning only works for 1% of people. The first is just ideology as all medicine is in a sense playing God, and the reality is that it's closer to 1% of people for whom transitioning doesn't work. There are studies on regret rates for transitioning and they're about 1-3% which is the same as for any surgery, the takeaway being that some people will regret making major life changes. It also sounds like this person simply wasn't informed and only mentioned dysphoria about facial hair for which just doing laser hair removal would have been all that was needed. It's sad, but nothing here should be used to invalidate people who want to transition.

And to be clear if you do ban my meds I will just seek out DIY routes which are much less safe than buying it from a pharmacy. You do not get to make this choice for people like me who have benefitted from HRT without accepting that the irreparable harm done to us by passing such laws when we have to seek out alternatives is solely on you buddy.

I am so sorry you have been caught up in this mess. I hated puberty but I had to go through it. The internet didn’t exist and my world was changing and i didn’t want to. Female puberty and society was horrible. Raped at 16, amnesia for 25 years. I never wanted to be a boy but I wanted male privilege and to be treated great like my brother. Don’t transition back. Wait for medical break throughs for regenerative medicine that can regenerate your body. Look at the regenerative medicine at the universities. They have been doing this for the veterans in the wounded warriors. I’m working to reconnect with my daughter who transitioned and she was called to be a geneticist. I’m working on reconnecting with her and getting her back on that path. You need loving caring adults and your family to help guide you back on the right path. You are seen and I am seriously concerned about your entire generation that is caught up in this occult. There are loving healthy adults that are fighting for you. I am one of those adults. Hang in there Max and everyone else who is regretting this decision.

You're doing a great job at feeling sorry for yourself. Keep at it, and one day, you may be the best. Every loser has a sob story. They're always the victim. Right now, your story sounds kinda weak, but when you hang out with other losers, you'll pick up some pointers that can make it a real tear jerker. 👍

Listen. You are doing AMAZING. If your story helps one person to make a tragic mistake (and this isn't about what is or what is not true or correct, but about protecting people from making mistakes early in life). My story about not knowing what the HELL I knew about myself. I hated my beard so bad in my early 20s. I almost had laser treatment to get rid of it. Now it's the sexist part of me. I would be devastated now if I couldn't grow a stubbly beard. So it shows we can't make decisions based on the future as we lack any wisdom or self awareness. Sending you all the love in the world

Omfg dude I'm going through it so hard right now. I made the mistake of self therapy and it made me a type one diabetic. My life is on the teeter of break down. I've can't work my relationships with my entire family from my mom to my girlfriend have been affected and still continue to disprove. I've been denied jobs, couldn't even attend my best friend's wedding because he's ashamed of me..... I'm just sitting here balling right now.
