Remember seeing ELP live in Atlanta in the early/mid 70's and the ticket cost $3.75 and thought I could buy almost two albums for that amount. Saw ELP three times (one day) so satisfied I saw them play...

" When will they ever learn"? Apparently NEVER! I was drafted on 11July 66 and when they broke the AIT class down, 70% went to Nam, 20% to Europe and I was in the 10% bunch who landed in South Korea. No scrambled eggs, no fruit salad, never heard a shot fired in anger and I'm not named postumisly for a street, chapel, or latrine. My name is not on a wall, I have no agent orange, no shell shock, have all four limbs and all my organs are in tact. At the same time I never burned my draft card nor did I escape to Canada to avoid the draft!! I consider myself lucky to be alive and never got spit on or at in an airport when I got back from Korea. That's my 'when will they ever learn'?

Ironic that such a good singer, singing a great produced song is about a sad topic. Benatar rules.

Tickles me the people on here criticising two of pop music’s finest exponents on how to improvise and jam around a central tune together. You are just revealing your own ignorance and tin ears. To me, this was sublime. I only learned of it today and am delighted to have seen it. Sad they never did more together, but this video alone is a beautiful gift.

I have had a want to hear some TRUE classic music, like Bach or Bethoven, from some time now to round out my appreciation of music, being a guitarist. Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman have given me some glimpses into this desire. Great musicians.

See them live many times with this band line up, Mike Hamilton was a beast. His solo at the end was shortened due to TV but live he’d tear it up.
