Fire trailtine is stronger with this build. Although even with water traitline it has decent damage output.

From FA itself cause it's huge ferocity increase. FA also provides the option to drop spheres as soon as they come off cooldown + you fit more filler skills (air 2 for example offcd)

So far I really enjoyed it in raids and strikes. Almost every variant of qcata is playable right now. About comparing it to hammer, I don't think word 'better' fits here. These two builds are just different but hammer will be bit more chill in my opinion due to easy EE stacks generation.
