Always love your videos! What a find! Been restoring jeeps close to a half a century. Even then, I still learn some new tricks from watching videos from young guys like you! You definitely have a great passion for working on these little marvels! Don't ever give up your hobby because your quite good at it! Thanks for a great video! You can count yourself lucky that I do not live in your area because I would regularly come by to take many detailed photos and ask for information because I am making a scale model 1/15 Jeep from a scale kit 1/35 and the reason is that I drove many km during my military service in Siegen Germany in 1971, question do you live in England and how come it is left hand driving. certainly many greetings from Ostend Belgium 👌😘

Is there any point to adding Lead additive to the gas or just run premium?

Not waterproof? A lot more waterproof than anything the British built post war using Lucas electrics at least into the late 60's. Lucas, the Prince of Dimness. Although my dad never had water problems with his 1962 MGA, but living in the desert in Arizona USA probably helped quite a bit with that.

I saw a small instruction sheet on what you were supposed to do if you knew that the enemy was coming. And you may be captured. Things so the enemy could not use the jeep. Drain fuel and oil remove tires. Hoses and wires and cables. Hide or destroy any equipment that may help the enemy engine and transmission. The guy who showed me the “Destruction Sheet” told me that they usually just threw a grenade at it. Move the fire extinguisher to the drivers side fender. You’ll be able to flick lights like Morse Code.

I don’t think that there is any non ethanol fuel here in small town Illinois. Does anything in a bottle work? I bypassed the oil filter years ago. Read where it actually “robs the #1 bearing of oil. No problems as of yet. The most recent problem is not being able to keep gas in the fuel pump. That has been replaced along with the old diaphragm and gaskets. No spots as far as leaking. But it has to be going someplace. Still six volts. Runs fine looks good for a 46. But has its days. Any tips? Yes it’s for sale. I’m only 11years younger than her. And I need repairs more than her.😂

I still rock my oil bath filter in my CJ2A. But I don't have that voltage regulator box on my fender to block access to removing the bowl.

On #5. Driving it for a bit is advisable, if it's dry weather, to exercise the brakes, and all the other components that rely on seals to operate.

Hello mate, I have a question, my father Jeep is really complete also, in perfect condition... However, one question, on the left of the steering wheel, on the panel we have a black sphere that we can pull, it's still today a mystery, nobody knows if it's original or not, as this jeep was one mounted with the T1 compressor and the Decompression stuff for the wipers on the windshield, ( many option on it), I'd like to know if you have information on it. I can send you photos by mail, or instagram as you want hope you can help, THANKS A LOT FOR THE GOOD VIDEO!!!

Where do you get all your clothing? Looks great, you could do a video just on the various clothing and outfits. Love to get a pair of those trousers. What is the designation?

My uncle drove Jeeps in WW2 as a messenger/"chauffeur" etc. in Hawaii and Australia. When someone would complain about the Jeeps many shortcomings, he was known to say "What other job can you get that you can live in paradise and get a suntan? Just consider yourself lucky that you're not in Europe riding in Jeeps in the winter rain". He also told me that wherever he was stationed, he made sure his mechanic would get an occasional bottle of whiskey or case of beer. He usually had the most well-maintained vehicle available.
