I think a carbon rod would work better, but you would need to push it high Amps-and push the material away in the abscense of pressurised air.

For those who don't carry a measuring cup, drinking bottles may have the ounce measuring indicators on them too assist in determining the correct amount of liquid to pour in the bag. 1 cup-8oz. 11/2 cups - 12 oz 2 cups - 16 oz

I've cut very thick metal with my stick welder. The problem is not that it doesn't cut, the problem is that it immediately cauterizes itself shut. One option is to frequently push the molten metal out of the cut with the stick as you go. Another option is to use a compressed air nozzle at the cutting line. Both methods fling extremely hot molten metal. It is so hot that it makes small explosions on a concrete floor, each one leaving a small crater. Fun stuff.

What did you do with the loose bolts? I found the 20s much too long with a lot more space and I don’t know that the wrench makes a difference?

What chemical are you working with? I'm usually stepping in a half inch of transmission oil all day at work. It usually tears my boot apart within 5 months.

I did a size up. I used to wear size 9 but size 10 is perfect for both steel toe or non steel toe. Initially I bought US 9 and 9.5, both of them are too tight and very uncomfortable

If you work in a field where there are detergents or other chemicals contacting your boots regularly, clean and oil them weekly. Otherwise do it monthly and your boots will last way longer. Can't blame the brand if you beat your stuff up and don't do the maintenance. Walmart boots are trash and won't last regardless...

When welding this thick of a metal try using a 20 degree slow drag angle in order to keep the heat more concentrated in the puddle which will equate to more heat which is needed. Good luck.

4:00 Redback/Aussie shoes have sizing as so - the half sizes are the exact same length but are wider. So a 7 will be the same exact length as 7.5, but the 7.5 will be wider.

As a bird hunter, with 40+ years and many boots under my belt, I can say this product works as long as this presenter stated. NO LEATHER boot is water proof. Out in the field, I always move through wet areas 3/4 up the height of the boot. Because you need good support trying to follow a bird dog, I also use 90" laces to wrap around my ankle and at the top also. I cant get the support you need with rubber boots. Moral of story, work them hard, dry them out in room air and use SS, or other preparations often. Simple as that. Oh, and wear wool socks to keep wet feet warm. Nothing works like wool. Wool does not compress when wet. My 2c.
