The squeaks stopped as Tech frm LG said the drum seems to be tilting forwards..maybe bec of an uneven weight distribution of wash load and tge rubber gasket touches th rim of the drum...and 1. Dont use heavy loads..2. Do not place dry clothes and add soaking wet towls etc which may clumped up wet clothes in one side of the drum and cause uneven weight distribution and imbalance while wash spins causing squeaking...3.every time after use, especially after heavy load wash, perform this : after taking out laundry from machine drum...usibg one hand extend to the back of the drum..push gently the inside of the drum towards the back..one can feel the spring pushing back..this may cause the drum to re-align (??)..which is good...and after following this care tips the squeaking did not appear again..maybe extending the life of the drum and bearings a bit more...and it has been trouble free so far. Repair of the drum and bearings means the machine had to be carted back to workshop and a down time of 2 weeks..bearing change tightening of nuts and bolts and testing etc..which we could not be without..but luckily it's working alright since than ..maybe for more than a year now...so its good so far.

Thailand customs cut the zipper handles to remove the lick.. and the lick was a TSA lock which customs can easily open if needed...didn't care about travellers properties..Hey could have asked the traveller to open the bag if needed..but it's a 2 hourntransit..with no exit from the airport..bags are automatically transferred to the connecting flight!!

Well the LG service tech came and checked..by looking directly at the opened door and inner opening from the top and sides to see if there is mis-alignment of the barrel / drum, making it to tilt/fall forward into the rubber seal in front. It did look a bit off, the sound could be due to the sagging of the drum forwards, but may also be a bearing problem(at the rear)...so the possible checks and repairs was estimated to take a few weeks with the machine to be taken to the workshop. Cost wise, its possibly estimated to run to about Singapore $350 (or about US$ 250). So it was decided not to attend to it now but make do until it breaks down completely and than replace with a new one..BUT once the Tech has left.. I did my own checks by pushing the inner drum inwards to see if its lose.. i felt it's not excessive...and decided to continue using the machine, but iwith a slightly lower weight load. AND also if the sound returns (usually at the count down of about 3 mins to zero), to use the "PAUSE" BUTTON wait for a minute and than continue by pressing the RUN (arrow, like PLAY in audio players). When this is done, the machine drum does a slow clockwise and anti clock wise rotation to re balance the clothes clumped inside and this mostly redistributs the weight load..and the drum continues to rotate to finish without any excessive sound!! So I conclude for now that its a balance issue or slightly wrongly distributed clothes-load...I.e weight...and possibly not necessary to replace the machine at this point. Since than ..a few weeks its still alright, on average the sound appears mildly, once every 10 times of use. So alright I guess.. Solved as above.

LG WD-1480TDT, with Inverter direct drive, 8kg, Front Load, washing machine (6 years in use) which recently (2 months ago, when tub stopped midway and water flow continued, even when power was switched off, with error code and possible inlet-valve fault, both mother board and inlet valves replaced by LG service), i.e New mother board and water inlet valves, replaced, by LG Service centre solved the previous problems. Now its making squeaky sound towards end of spin cycle, (so no problems with PCB board and water inlet valves). Now, No error code shown..so possible mechanical problem rather than an electronic problem. 1. Could it be due to imbalance of load causing the tub to lean forward? 2. possible imbalance of tub during rotation, meaning any spring or shock absorber problems??..usually shock absorber problems would cause banging or "knocking" sounds.. diagnosis by a LG tech was: upon checking the rubber-gasket lining in front of front door seems o.k. so by pushing the tub forward and backwards, it did not seem to move much.. not too bad but taking a photo of the rubber gasket, i.e the gap seems un-even, on top and below, the rubber gasket ring, showing a possible tilt of the tub forward; that could cause the barrel to lean towards the door..causing contact with the rubber and thus the screechy noise(?)... LG tech said the tilt etc and the noise generated, could be the bearings...which may need changing...setting a price for repair to be about $350 to $450 and most importantly the repair duration quoted was long...it has to be done at the service center/workshop and would take about 3 to 4 weeks!..which is a long time for a household to be without the means of a washing machine, so no repair option was chosen for now. A search for a possible repair solution from parallel repair centres which could change the bearings, to be done sooner(a few days?) and preferably with less cost(?)..since its said in numerous KZbin videos that it would be a whole day job!. (It seems its difficult to get the appropriate Bearings for the model..dont know where to search having exhausted Amazon/ebay) Or outrightly replace the machine(??)..sad! as this has to end up in a land fill?..when a solution looks somehow possible especially with new PCB board and inlet valves! So for the time being, machine is still being used..with a lighter load with less or no sound. Appreciate possible suggestions.!!!

Awesome. I came across this following link kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipvSh32dnrSegLM an event of abishegam for Siva and Nandhi at Payalaber temple, Singapore. The background song they have used also so memorizing. Listening to this song during a pradosham fasting day is another level. Whenever I feel stress, unhappy... I just play this song.

Lankan Tamil sounds much like Malayalam! But it’s probably my feeling as a Malayali

Interestingly noted as such by many. I can only comment that ancient Tamil had many offshoots, some because of geographical and political barriers stayed as it was in some areas and evolved with widely spoken contemporary languages brought in my migrants /traders etc. So I believe "Tamil" offshoots from that time remained as such and also by their own local migratory effects. For e.g in Australia I had noticed the Tamil spoken by SriLankan migrants was easily understood by my friend who is from Kerala but who also spoke Tamil. (I don't speak Malayalam)...some are pure Tamil words not usually used in colloquial Tamil as spoken now..but used in Malayalam. These words are still comprehensible in Tamil but not normally used in daily usage...or its is as used in Tamil movies etc..which is ridiculously bad , to the point that my mind does not strike when a certain pure Tamil word is used..only when I try to think what I was being told for a few seconds ...do i realise the meaning. I guess if one categorically watch a movie from the sixties and than analyse one made now..a lot of words that did not exist than is being used now..and also some expressions as used than had not only disappeared but more often replaced with "English" words..and more ridiculously in wrongly interpreted ways as well..or mispronounced English words!!..e.g when some one comments without any concerns or fear..a Tamil conversation goes like this : "He said this in an "ASSAULT" way..."assaulta sonaan"....when assault means an "attack" and NOT "carelessly". There are many examples..and no clear indication how the use came about...wrongly used but widely spoken!!!! For e.g when I was in Australia I told the person of Sri Lankan origin, serving me some food, that what is being served is "enough" and that I do not want more than that, the person who was serving me said in Tamil "kaanaliyae"...i looked bewildered...thinking interpreting the word wrongly as "not seen"..when in fact it means correctly as "not much" which my friend from Kerala understood perfectly. So I do think Malayalam with older Tamil words still being used and pronounced as it should, does make Sri Lankan Tamil sound more familiar to Malayalam speakers...and maybe slightly easier to understand... for speakers of Malayalam. Just my observation.

Googugaga Malayalam has a lot of Sanskrit words merged into it along with old Tamil words. We have thee and agnee for fire, vayu and kaattu for air etc. Tamil is mostly legible for Malayalis naturally.

Good advise. Pls follow up instructions...it's spreading fast and can kill!!!When a good healthcare is provided w rare lucky to be here when the corona virus spread started. Pls..pls follow. All flights to Tamil Nadu has stopped. One fellow Tamil worker who was thought to have died of corona virus has now been confirmed to have died of a heart attack..and sadly even his body cannot be sent back home because there are no flights...so please follow instructions. If every one maintain a safe lifestyle..wearing masks, keep a distance from friends, and washing hands many times AND not drinking alcohol or smoking you will be healthy enough to fight the virus..and u will live to safe your family. Ask yourself why we came here to work..for our family..to pay bills...for our parents old age care...for our children's studies ..to buy land ..or build a house or pay off loans..SO why waste our life!!keep urself healthy ..avoid all possible causes..see the healthcare team at the dormitory..free food..free salary...free medicine..I don't think this is available in many countries.so I plead pls stay safe.
