So I do have a serious question? So I understand that it's not always on coaching but if we are saying Stephen's, marcus Williams, and roquan smith all had great previous seasons and now are playing awful... do we really need to figure out new defensive staff. I mean our pass defense is LAST in the NFL and it's not like we lost all of our star defenders from last seasons. We have to figure out something because we cannot beat the chiefs or win the playoffs and superbowl without a descent pass defense. I mean we don't need great pass defense to win out all we need is just a descent pass defense and we are set!

I like our pass rush with Travis. It's clear, if we get push up the middle, our pass rush is disruptive. Our ILBs can’t cover TEs or WRs, and we should scheme better to prevent those matchups.

I think Williams is in a situation where the system doesn't take advantage of his strengths and highlights his weaknesses. He's an instinctual ball hawk. Not a decision maker based on the personal coming at him. He needs to be free to roam, not be structured. The zone defense worried me last year, but this was MM's defense so he made it work. Orr is calling plays with a system that doesn't suit him. No doubt we traded for White to give Stephens snaps at S. If they can improve to the top half of the league, Lamar will carry them the rest of the way.

I still have faith in Stephens! If you watch a lot of his reps he is in good position more often than not, he just has issues locating the ball once it’s in the air and making a play. I would like to see Brade get some reps at safety.
