I am starting to think that the problem with the D is not personnel or scheme anymore, the problem I believe is the inability to disguise coverages presnap to postsnap. Mike Mac was a wizard at this. Almost never did qb’s see the same thing post snap as they saw pre snap last year. This year what they see pre snap is exactly what they get post snap so any good qb can find the soft spot pre snap and exploit it. Orr needs to find a way to disguise coverages more elegantly than just walking guys up and backing them off once the ball is snapped. Line up in cover 2 and shift to cover 1 once the ball is snapped stuff like that

We played a tone of 11 personnel that game in part of Isaiah likely being out but the reason why I feel Derrick Henry didn’t have a great game was because of Isaiah likely absence because Isaiah doesn’t get credit for his run blocking ability he’s a great run blocker better than Mandrews so we definitely missed that but do hope we get him and Hamilton back for week 11 against the Steelers. We need to rest our guys so I expect everyone to rest for 3 days then come Monday or Tuesday get back to work. This was a physical game so we need to rest. Defense needs to improve immensely can’t be sugar coated at all.

The scheme is garbage from Orr that’s why he is just not DC worthy , maybe that’s a hard thing to believe for many but his scheme is just plain bad guys move to the zone defense he loves so much and someone is always open , he barely blitz and he barely uses man to man coverage. If a casual as me can pick up this stuff and call who will get the ball I can imagine actual coaches and coordinators picking apart and dismantling this secondary scheme .

Ever since 2018ish the ravens have needed more pass rush and crazy how it’s still going on, never understood why Eric wants to keep them late picks. Ravens have good enough corners BUT a constant pass rush is needed so they don’t have to cover for long. This year is clicking and Eric should have went in on trading for help on the Dline and maybe a good corner. You think the chiefs are going to care about the ravens defense? Anyways just crazy to see how the defense still needs help after all these years still.
