I got an ACRO for Christmas. Finally getting around to ordering an ACRO cut, Black nitride, front of optic sight cut and iron sights from you guys. I’m hella stoked! Can’t wait to get back to the range! Too bad I’ll only have a Kahr PM9 to carry till my G19 slide gets back.

What's the optic from the first couple of seconds?
@jagerwerks10 күн бұрын
The Steiner T1Xi, it uses the Aimpoint Micro Footprint. Has a nice dot and circle reticle.

It would be really cool to see a video on the black nitride coating process as well.

My main reason for running a Unity T2 and Pic riser in conjunction with a forward mounted laser is that I don't want to see my laser unit through the optics window. I've been wanting to try a something like this on my Spear LT due to the way the rail works but I would love to see someone make one of these where the laser sits lower than the optic. I should come say hi sometime, I've not been there since you finished moving into the new shop!

Depending on the combo, you definitely don't have any occlusion, but it's LAM dependent.

I'm really on the fence about your mounts but the more I look at them the more I realize it's what I've been needing for my entire life... What size riser was he using with the NGAL?
@jagerwerks15 күн бұрын
1" accessory mount. He's running the 875 eotech mount, but I'd probably still recommend the 625 eotech mount.

Same here. I went through 3 mod buttons alone just from range shooting. Their stuff is overpriced trash. I've had better experience from streamlight.

That's surprising. I've been running this body for years and regularly move these switches between like 8 guns. How was their CS?

i'm left eye dom.. and right handed.. the higher mount allows me to use my dominant eye, with a modified cheek/chin weld.. due to problems with my right eye.. such a game changer for me.. grabbing one of your mounts/diving board for a PDX with zero rail space

Very nice! I actually just decided to go lefty because of my eye dominance. haha. Now I can barely shoot anything right handed.

But the other benefit of the back-strap is more contact surface for us big handed folk. I tried the "half-strap" and it does reduce the angle but it also reduces the surface area.

I really don't understand why so many people teach front sight focusing, it simply sucks. It's terrible. Target focusing ALWAYS
@jagerwerksАй бұрын
I agree, especially with competition or fast shooting, but it's natural for people to point and be taught front sight focused iron shooting. It's kind of the start. This isn't a complete comprehensive on shooting but I think it'll do a lot for beginners.
@BullseyeBallistics-kf1jwАй бұрын
For those who dont know, you can be target focused with iron sights. I am. Especially during USPSA.
@jagerwerksАй бұрын
Hard to start out target focusing with irons though. Not everything is for everyone, but this should help folks who have learned this way, as front sight focusing seems to be pretty natural for beginners.
@hunteromsirisack40Ай бұрын
The osights are so bad and full of problems. Doesn't hold 0, turns off randomly, and fragile if dropped. It's probably worse than an airsoft red dot if you can't afford an actual one

Good information. I’m trying to run irons only target focused as well out to 15 yards. With my dot, it is easy. I admit too, long time ago (1991) I was incorrectly trained and “bought the cow.”

Just did this today. What a great way to change the grip angle to something I’m much more familiar with having come from 1911s. Did this to my g26 gen 5 mos, and it’s a huge difference. I still shoot 1911s, and this puts all my handguns at a close enough angle that I don’t have to mess with muscle memory going between brands. Genius, cheap, and reversible if I ever choose too. Love it. Ty sir.

What iron sights do you recommend to go with the Acro?
@MeanG19Ай бұрын
If you go to their website, and find the optic cut you want for your gun, they have the sights for that cut down at the bottom of the page (i.e. Aimpoint Acro Iron Sights for Glock). Select your cut and where you want the irons (front or back), then go back and select the appropriate irons. They do a great job all around.

Adjust your non-dominant hand to grip the front of the pistol, add grips as necessary. For a $30 I can make a grip tape job better than a machine-textured job and it acts as a compensator, increases control, reduces recoil, so on pew view has good videos on it
