Great honest review! I’ve watched quite a number of reviews on the Grandland x as I’m very drawn to it due to the acceleration and mpg combined. I don’t have kids so not bothered about the back seats however this guy looked at things that others have not and instead of just waxing lyrical and pointing out all the nice things, he actually reviewed the infotainment system which was an eye opener and also the boot space which again was disappointing. I REALLY want to like this vehicle as on paper it’s 300hp and 5.9 0-60 along with 50+ real world mpg is a combination I’ve only seen in high end vehicles and the best price being the Rav 4 Phev which is nearly 50k! I’m currently stuck between one of these or a slightly older Lexus NX which doesn’t have the same performance stats or Appleplay however the savings and reliability matched with the quality and 10 year warranty is a real tough decision! If anyone can offer any advice on what it’s like living with a phev and hours to charge it versus the NX and its standard hybrid setup I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice and thank you for the video, NEW SUBSCRIBER here!!!👌

Fantastic car, it's basically an electric golf and will beat most petrol or diesel cars away from the lights 😂. Ps you look like a car thief wearing those gloves.......take em off they look ridiculous.

Hey just a comment on the "its not German" statement. Have you seen the latest VWs and even Mercs and Audis lately? This honda pisses all over them in finish quality and design.

It's not German? Have you ever seen various current German cars if it isn't an S-Class, for example? Plastic everywhere you look and shakes everything.

Mazda has never nailed road noise. No matter which model, it’s always a noisy brand. I’m not sure they have developed the internal technologies to suppress road noise.

Good review - just ordered one of the last ones - amazingly comfortable, safe, fast and 60miles real electric only range (better than quoted). You do know the parcel shelf raises automatically with the tailgate?

We just drove 45 miles in our RX450h+ on mixed highway and rural roads and still had 4 miles of EV range left. We basically never use gas in our local driving. We also made a 2,200-mile road trip and averaged 35 mpg(US) on gas. We're very happy with the combination of EV range, luxury and fuel economy. Charge Hold is misleading. One pushes and holds the button until the vehicle switches to Charge mode, whereupon the engine will charge the battery up to 80%. HV mode is the one that maintains the existing charge, although the hybrid system will always use a bit of battery down to about 90%. of full.

Very well said, we came from a Q50 hybrid sedan. We wanted to get more luxury and more reliable than Infiniti. Not everyone is looking for fastest and off road capabilities. If you are there are other choices.

Great review - just for clarity The Door opening is electronic and you push the handle button. The pull is for fail safe operation in the event of power failure.

We love Berlingo/Partners and are on our third from 2003. Our petrol Berlingo's brakes are just as grabby. I don't know why anyone would not have the regen breaking in action in an EV. I really want more than 200 miles range with charging infrastructure as it is at present. With my 2018 Renault Zoe EV I am exclusively charging from my solar panels and regularly doing 100 mile round trips, whilst using the petrol Berlingo for 200 plus mile trips and three child seats across the back when required. Thanks for the review, hope to have one vehicle that does it all in the future.

I ordered the V60 over the BMW and the Mercedes since i drive 60k km a year and I prefer comfort (great seats) and big range (bigger fuel tank and bigger battery). The hybrid is for fiscal reasons, but the power over a D4 is nice.

Irks me no end that video reviews like this are presented by and put online by people who clearly don't know what they are talking about!. The car having 3 cylinders has absolutely no bearing on how the power is delivered, none whatsoever!. You absolutely DO NOT need to wring the neck of this 110bhp turbo version to get the power, the maximum 205NM torque comes in at 1500rpm for goodness sake, barely more than ticker!. Yes, on the n/a (naturally aspirated) version, you do need to work it hard if you are in a hurry, but this is because it doesn't have a turbo, nothing to do with how many cylinders. And for the record, even that produces its maximum power and torque at lower revs than, for example, the n/a 4 cyl 1.2 used by Hyundai/Kia in various models. Having to listen to that rubbish about 3 cyl engines put me right off the rest of the review!

This guy is clearly a BMW snob! My dad just got a Homura CX60 and it’s gorgeous. Really quiet, really comfy and such a beautifully well built car. I have a 2023 CX5 and it’s because of that car that he went to look at the CX60. Anyone unsure of the CX60 because of this muppet with his over sensitive binaural microphone need not worry. The CX60 is very very nice and you won’t look like a twat driving it in the same way you would a BMW or an Audi.

Just re watched your review after watching lots and lots of others.. driving it myself and ordering one due to the great price and equipment. nice ride and quiet cabin... lol.. what were you driving? Different to me I think! Just ordered the Homura PHEV Convenience and Driver assistance Packs.. seems a perfect Company car (TAX) . Last car was an AMG Merc C class.. the Mazda is nicer built, quieter, rides better.. LOL Handling is ..er not the same, but very good balance for an SUV. It is a very good compromise for the vehicle it is. Your view is either very unbalanced or you had a very poor pre production car..I cant decide.

Glad you made this comment about the cabin being quiet. This review concerned me because I have one on order without driving or seeing in the flesh. Getting the 3.3 petrol turbo so I don't even have a reviews of the whole car.

@@zeedustrakok no such thing where I’m from. And how much benefit would you get anyway? Would it overrule the exorbitant extra $$$ Volvo adds on the sale price of their hybrids?
@zeedustrakok
@zeedustrakok Жыл бұрын
@@scottthompson7009 The D4 is about €270 a month cheaper than the T6 hybrid. In my country however the hybrid is 100% fiscally deductible wheras the D4 only 50% (this includes the fuel it uses). In the end, the TCO is €100 cheaper for the T6 a month. For the benefit in kind. My V60 has a BIK (with a list price of €76000) of €220 a month (including fuel card). A comparably equiped D4 has a BIK rating of €610 a month (list price €66000). So the hybrid is way more interesting for me. This system however will end soon in my country. At the moment the TCO is the same for an audi Q2 30 TFSI and an audi Q3 45 TFSIe.
