You could speed up your production 3x by having a shot shell at every stage at the same time.

What if u use only a primer with casing to get it out?

There would be no seal to create any pressure since the bullet has already left the brass

Very Nice, just got a 550, moving from Single Stage, but I think that I will still do case prep on single stage, resize/deprime, swag and prime, since sometime swagging does not work. And just do the power, seat and crimp on the machine. I have a square deal for 9mm, just love it. Reason I decided on 550, cost was lower then 750.
@DummyRound4 күн бұрын
You can load plenty fast on a 550. I always prep my cases on a single stage before loading. What if a case needs trimmed or splits at the neck or something? I can cull or process those before adding a primer or missing an important step in case prep. You should enjoy your 550 for many years to come 👍🇺🇲

Trim the pedals off the wads then use 9 pellets of 00 buckshot with 8 point crimp

I'll have to try that, thanks👍🇺🇲

Reactionary targets are a lot of fun. and fun is one of the things about your show, just like the cartoonish skit that you did with the shell casing talking to the bullet when the buzzer went off "Oh no.. you know what that sound means"? something like that is good humor that breaks up all the seriousness. you should do one about the 7.62 x 54 case saying to the round "Oh,, No.. you know what just happened? some Mosin geek just chimed in and knows all the makings"... hahaha.. I load with a lee load all, it works great, i added an extra mount screw in the back because they came loose after pressing alot of shells, also weighh out your bushing loads , the lee load all works good but just weigh check your bushing loads, i had to drill mine out a little bit and add an extra anchor screw to the unit, i also drilled a hole in the lid so i can dump powder and shot from the unit after disingaging the linkage. The crimp is excellent so far

Hey Big Dummy, you need to send out a notice when you have your live chats. I keep missing them dude. - Dave

I've been making an effort to do at least one Friday or Saturday a week, but it's always subject to change. What's a good way to notify people when YT probably doesn't send notifications?

@@DummyRound It's really hard when you don't have a set time,, like 2:00 on Saturday or Sunday Afternoon. I believe that sending out a thumbnail "Upcoming" @ 2:00 "Spend Time with The Big Dummy" would be a way to go. Maybe that would work?

Probably not, but it's the same burn rate region as 1680, 4227, H110, etc. so my brain lumped them all together. I'm sure you could do some forum digging or use Gordon's Reloading Tool and get some data if you really wanted to use that powder 👍🇺🇲

@DummyRound24 күн бұрын
@JV-sk5rl when did I say it was 1 MOA?
@JV-sk5rl24 күн бұрын
At the end of the video there is ballistic-x sheet, where is distance 91 m, group size 0.863 MOA. There seems to fit 3 bullet holes between holes that are farthest away. Calculated with indecorous calculator it gives 1.18 MOA. Still pretty decent for 9 shot group.
@DummyRound24 күн бұрын
Good enough for practice, I suppose. These were actually blems if I remember, and there's a 10th shot in the main group, though that doesn't change the overall size. My shooting skills are still the limiting factor, regardless the gun or ammo👍🇺🇲
