I take surmon notes and glue them into my bible, same with my bible study notes. I do small sheets with stickers, washi tape, drawing, watercolor. It helps me remember and understand what was discussed, clarified and explained. Thank you for sharing everyone should be diving deep into their Bibles, and this is a wonderful way to do it.

I really like how you said you prayed as part of the reciting step. Sure, I pray about what I learn to good but it's more about questions. I didn't think to repeat what I learned. It makes so much sense.

Oh yes!!!!!! I've actually been watching tutorials on how to make a cover for my giant, from college yesrs ago, Harper Collins study bible. Its massive but the paperback. And isnt just a paperback, it's like just cardstock holding that bad boy together. I am definitely going to hunt for one at my dollar tree this week because i want to have a doodle Bible for me and my niece for sermons. Is it kjv?

It is KJV, do you like that translation? I like the ESV so it's been rough trying to use the Dollar Tree bible but I've been using it as a prayer bible!

@@ariana-rose-bibletime I don't have much experience with kjv whatsoever aside from cross referencing and such. I am actually currently using more NET (it took a minute, now I love it) and NIV, but have been kind of tethered to CSB until I got my new Bibles and the CSB are my two journaling. I take one of my Bibles to church service, I don't actually use it for anything except for sermons. And I let my niece doodle in it when she comes with me. Having a "spare, just for funzies" has been something that I really wanted but can't justify buying another bible just for that purpose. So when I saw you mention the dollar tree Bible it definitely peaked my interest, because, for lack of a better term, I just need a "play/throw away" Bible. And I've collected several translations this year and just having a physical kjv for reference would be great because I don't want to depend on Internet all the time. I love your videos!! You're really inspiring. God definitely sent you to KZbin for us thank you. I've been thinking about starting a channel myself and I just have to fight my ADHD and respond to my conviction and message about it. Your channel has definitely helped me feel more confident

That's a nice compliment because being concise is something I struggle with! My bible reading plan is just to go through the bible from start to end and then restart, but I also read a lot of other places in the bible. I was reading 2 Samuel and Romans last week and this week I'm reading 1 Kings and Ecclesiastes. The Romans and Ecclesiastes readings weren't planned, I just randomly wanted to read them. lol I also like to read a Psalm and Proverb every day!

@@ariana-rose-bibletime your welcome! I am reading the Bible for the first time this year, and am following a chronological plan with heart dive 365 here on KZbin. It moves too fast daily, and I did originally want to leave the pressure off myself in the beginning and said I’d only just read it but now I feel like I want to go on with other books and study by myself a little slower, in addition to the plan. Just to try it. Since I’m new I am looking at different ways people study, but I feel so overwhelmed by the people who use all the colors and sticky notes and extra paper because I’m not crafty. Lol I’ve been dying to find a simple way, I think I’ll give this method a try.

I’ve been a Christian for many years now. But I’m currently doing a complete read through the Bible. I thought it’d take a year, but it’s taking longer. That’s fine with me - I’m going forward, and that’s what counts. But when I’m done, I want to go back through and really focus even more in depth on it - take even more notes, get even more concentrated in what it says, etc. And this method you have looks like it’s going to be a good way of doing that. Thank you! Subscribing to your channel to see what else you can teach me. Could I ask for a PDF of the system you showed? I’d like to print it out and have it handy like you did. Would also like to know where you got the book with the Verse Mapping, topical study, character study, etc pages.

I also wanted to share my newest, favorite discovery. It's called Life Bible app. It has plans, devotionals, study notes and a lot of Bible options, highlighting and notes. It's by far my favorite bible reading app, I didn't bond with the other most popular ones and I haven't seen this one mentioned much. I also like that you have basically unlimited access and unlimited options for font.

Thank you so much!! I love this video!! And your simple but rich advice and the highlighting system you showed. I have ADHD and chronic illness, so I have so much more trouble concentrating and following through; I also end up easily overwhelmed (by my own mind making mountains out of hypothetical molehills lol). I am looking to just read through scripture consistently without overthinking and studying. Last night I thought about just reading and highlighting as I go but despite the amount of highlighting method videos I just haven't really, figured out how to correctly implement or do it myself (comprehension is a skill I am relearning as my brain heals). I really enjoy your videos and your explanations of things, if you haven't already, maybe you could walk us through some of the ways you interact with the Word like highlighting, because I AM BLOWN away by the "hack" you gave us for verse referencing. Thank you!!

I'd love to do something like that, my life motto is: "Stop doing the most!" So I really relate to being overwhelmed! I recently did an in-depth bible study on Martha and Mary, which so applies to the idea of worrying about doing things the right way! I am always being a Martha, focusing on the GOOD portion is a constant struggle! I'll film that tomorrow and maybe get the video up Friday if I can!

It's kinda funny, it's from one of those holiday seasonal nail kits WalMart puts out during Christmastime! My mom got a set for my daughter and my daughter gave me that color since she knows I love it. It's not available right now at WalMart, but the title on the box says 10 Days of Joyful Nails. There's this other box that says 10 Days of Peaceful Nails that looks so pretty! If I can I'm going to get it this December 😄

I wish I could get a job just adding paper to bibles 😂 but honestly I have many pages I added that are a good half inch too short, it doesn't ruin it for me but I can totally get wanting it to be as even as possible.

I love this bible!! I may have looked at one previously, it's such a nifty size! Tabs are one of my favorite parts of setting up my Bible but I DIY mine, it still took me like 2 hours to do my bible last year and I admit right this moment I am at my desk trying to prepare to do my new one, lol. Love this!
