Natalie and Hanna, what a treat to have you both on the tutorial tonight. This was a lot of fun. We got to see the “mom” side of Natalie and she is an amazing mom! The quilts you both made are gorgeous! I fell in love with BOTH quilt patterns. It’s amazing how Hannah came up with a completely different pattern with the same block. I also love the colors of the fabric used too. It’s sew pretty!!! 🌸🩷🩷💞🩷🩷🌸

Watching both of you sewing together just brings tears to my eyes. My daughter was a beautiful quilter and made amazing quilts and other quilted projects. Unfortunately, she passed away 6 years ago. I miss her guidance when working on my projects . MSQC was her favorite show to watch and learn more techniques.

It was so nice to have Hannah in front of the camera with you, Natalie. I liked her input about preferring to cut off 'dogears' after cutting the triangles. I struggle with the ruler slits too. Nice suggestion, Nat to just cut off excess w/o the ruler and to cut 2.5 x 4.5" whenever 2 squares of the same color are next to each other. Great hacks throughout the video. Both quilts are lovely and I like the 'You could also...' ideas about adding applique or embroidery. Please don't wait a year to have Hannah on again.

Hello, Natalie and welcome, Hannah!! What a fun video! When sewing the nine patch, if you will flip the middle column to the left column, sew all rows. When you open it up all you have to do is add the third column. You won't have to flip anything and get yourself confused. I'm left-handed like Jenny, and this method makes sense to me.

Beautiful unique block! Natalie sews more my speed 😅, and her description of the “hack” to cut continuous rectangles instead of squares of the same fabric sewn together (to avoid seams wherever possible) is what I do all the time! But you have to be vigilant, it’s easy to get things twisted in eagerness to get the block sewn. When you’re talking, it is SO easy to make a piecing error - and we’re all familiar with distractions in our sewing environments. I love these fabric colours too. Thanks for another great MSQC tutorial Natalie and your lovely daughter Hannah!

My philosophy Natalie is that a quilt that hasn’t been touched by Jack, is not a truly happy quilt. Being touched by Jack is an honor that means the quilt truly was loved during construction. Beautiful quilt, and it was great to meet your daughter!!!! Happy Holidays!!!!
