Snooker had wiped Alex clean at this point, he was also playing with a terrible cue as he had lost 2 of his own, the governing bodies didn't want him anywhere near. Shame but he didnt help himself at times.

I agree, he did well to get this far into the tournament. Its a shame he couldn't sustain it.
@LordFlashheart.119 күн бұрын
@@DamosChannel He certainly had enough ability to stay in the to 16 for a long time, the loss of crucial ranking point and massive fines finished him. He was trying to ride it out on natural ability but I think he lost the will to fight it.

It’s a shame the first 5 minutes of the match weren’t captured on this video. Would have been an enjoyable 5 frames to watch.

Jan was RUNNING for these breaks. What a great ref to know that the most important thing was to not interrupt the flow instead of getting into the perfect position every time. Ronnie could never replicate his fastest clearance with today's referees. They are robots instead of following the flow of the game.

why is this the only video footage from this tournament? The 2000 Grandprix was a fantastic tournament with all the legends of the game right at their pomp, also it was the first time Mark Williams faced off against his old "class of 92" rival Ronnie O'Sullivan in a final in which Mark went onto win not long after his first WC win, would be great to see that final again

This is a good example of the power of normalization (in a social behavior context) and the pressure it exerts on participants in their environment. If you conducted the same activity with people who trash talked, dressed like street thugs, lied, gambled, and cheated, no one would call a foul on themself.
