They gone fail far before that.. don't get a rebuild either.. take it have it built.. and stick a cooler on it..

I went through 3 (yep three) 4l60 transmissions on my 2002 Suburban. I don't even pull with it normally. I found out after the third one that if your mass airflow sensor is bad, it will incorrectly adjust pressure on transmission. So a $15 part cost me thousands.

It looks way better than that. Push puffer thing got on there.

Any truck that’s not a regular cab 2WD add a radio with a screen and a backup camera whether double din single din flip out or a floating 7 to 9 inch screen pick out the best option for your budget and based on crime data where you live and work if you have a high number of vehicle break-ins a $1K top brand head unit is a bad choice a $100 to $200 radio will work fine.

I'm concerned now about the oil pressure at the o-ring in the oil pan.. My vehicle just started losing oil pressure few years ago at 190,000 miles. I bought a cheap oil sensor on eBay and it failed, bought another one and it's not showing the full 40 plus that it had before. I thought the biggest problem was the brake lines all rusted out and major rust underneath. Also electrical problems constantly. Parasite draw for 2 years now I still can't figure it out. Now you got all these things on me. Humbug

I'm at 200,000 runs great but and suddenly burning oil. 5.3 engine. I checked around on KZbin has tutorials about the oil consumption problem on LS engines. Defective valve cover on the driver side. Clogged PCV and drill it out and drill out the baffle how about 15 holes. By the way there is no PCV valve like the older vehicles. People are trying to remove the PCV thinking that it is a PCV valve but it's not. It's permanent in the top of the valve cover. And I only use synthetic from now on.

Full tank of gas 150lb. plus my weight which is 240lb. = 390 lbs on the driver side .

Something else I would recommend (2003-2006) is a transmission temp gauge. If you send your cluster to a rebuilder, you can have it remanufactured with new lights and stepper motors, and have the trans temp gauge added. It is plug and play for 2003-2006 for sure (I am not sure on previous years). A cluster from a HD pickup of the same years does the same thing. It gives you peace of mind to be able to see what temps your trans is running during stop and go traffic, towing, etc.

people arent against cold air intakes when you have an open filter in your engine bay you dont have a cold air intake your feeding your engine hot air from under the hood, Thats not a cold air intake thats just loosing power

That 4L60 is the best MF’er . Easy to mod/upgrade. Couple changes can have you spinning wheels at take-off

Stock air intake are somewhat restrictive. I ran straight pipe but kept the original box

First time buyer 2023 bought a 17k miles Tacoma TRD off-road 4x4 fully loaded for $38k originally 47k but I was going to hit with 22% interest but I got my dad as a co signer but I was able to haggle the dealer to $38k instead of $47. 1 year now just one more before I refinance to drop my interest rate. I should’ve bought a $15k used car but honestly I needed something reliable and I work in off-road conditions so yes I have $900 payment but been putting more into principal. Did this make a loud slamming sound from the rear? I got a 04 yukon and the back of mine makes a loud slamming noise, i can hear it echo when i pass by cars or garages when going over bumps. New shocks, bump stops, springs, and everything but still making this noise.

A lot of people do the 6.0 liter intake and throttle body upgrade on the 5.3s. There are YT videos on how it's done. The intake was or is over $300, I believe thru the dealership. I was hoping you had the roof rack reverse light add-ins thats a video I'd like to find as I have an 03 Z71 full size and even with a tail light upgrade backing up in a dark driveway can be annoying as both the factory and after LED tail lights suck.
