The weakest part if the storyline in ST2 is the radiation. I thought the Dilithium Crystals thing meant they dont use anything that spits out harmful radiation? And why couldnt he wear a radiation suit? Any facility that produces radiation has suitable protection clothing, as well as procedures and medication, to deal with radiation effects and accidents, surely? Better than kicking it back into action, though, a la Into Darkness 😂

One of the best films I've ever watched, in the theater as a Jr. High student at that! Seen it multiple times since then. Never gets old. Perfectly done sci-fi movie. Great character arcs. Great acting. Great special effects. Love this movie.

There is something about those phaser blasts at 2:02 that just seem vicious. Like a rabid stabbing into Khan's chest.

04:32 - Kirk says "it must have a range limit", but his mouth barely moves. In addtion to all of his other talents, he's a ventriloquist.

" Khan, you bloodsucker!" My favorite line of that movie. Shatner said it with a barely contained fury that ended with " DO YOU?!!!"

I don't believe anyone can convince me that this isn't one of the greatest battles in all star trek history. Watching not just ships duke it out but Captains tactically counter each other over and over again until only one stands victor over the other. Glorious.

Fascinating how they still thought tapes would still be in use hundreds of years from now. Maybe so 2024. Tape is still used for companies with 25-100 year retention policies And archiving data for large language models in case the data is needed in the far future. Ha....maybe they still will used tapes a couple of hundred years from now

Raise the Corinthian Leather! If you recognize that moniker, you should know that Ricardo made it up on the spot during the commercial shoot he starred in for a car company. This is the greatest 10 minutes of Star Trek.... and echoing the incredible impact of Horner's score. Perfection. My only quibble is that I wish the Reliant bridge had more dramatic lighting.... but that was standard for the time.
