You need to feed them sea monkey, blood worm and high quality fish foods to heal them to become more stronger. You did right things with medicine.

I have seen people moving their tanks with the aquascape intact.... they have drained the water till about an inch or two and secured the scape with pieces of styrofoam.... I have seen big tanks moved like that.... question is what's more hassle in your case? Restarting the tank from the beginning or the other option....

instead of using brand names when discussing your med, you might check the label and mention the active ingredients in the products you are using. looks like they were cold or the temp was fluctuating to get them in this shape. also, Metronidazole treatment right away for protozoans. then also if you know how, a potassium permaganate treatment for external parasites. once they start taking food, you can mix metro in food. (it lasts 8 hours in water then becomes inactive so you can treat, wait 8 hours, change water, then treat again). you can also try probiotic bacteria powder for replacing the probiotics after gut and parasite treatments. I use an aqua ponics commercial powder to treat my tanks. it improves appetite and balances gut health especially after you treat with metro.

You need metro to kill the hex. Sucks that you can't get it there. I'm not sure what they use over there because all discus I ever had get Hex. They are the biggest babies.

I love the mini dutch, is so cute🥰Random question, can you have bettas with shrimp together? I have a 40L tank cycling and I don't know whether to put the cherry shirmp in first, the betta or vice versa. It is very planted and there are plenty of places to hide, but I don't want too many problems for the shrimp either😅

@davidgr.13 • The shrimp should always be 1st , and the more time you can give them alone or with their besties like Otto's ,. Pygmy Cory's and my all time favorite green neon's but I have been enjoying my Bettas living relationships with my Cherry Shrimps and the only way to find out is zee. What happens when your Betta gets really close and hopefully it is not the end of the road but the other side is keeping your fish fed cause q hungry fish usually 🫣 So then in a way you are better off over feeding them in the beginning but reality is some little ones are going to be very nice snacks !!! 😮

The Dutch is beautiful. Please don't put the little Asian Rummynoses in with the other guys who have been sick recently, no reason to risk them getting sick as well. The Rummynoses also like harder water (GH >= 10), at least the lake in which they're endemic has quite hard water, so I wouldn't necessarily put them in with other types of fish, many of whom prefer softer water and a lower pH, such as the neons. A bigger tank for sure would be great for the Rummynoses in the future though, cause they will get a lot bigger than they are right now (I've had a group of them for a while now, they're in a 120l at the moment and they have grown to 5-6cm). They do swim around a lot and can be extremely fast, they have a super fascinating mating dance which they do almost all the time if they're feeling at home and have enough room. Also, in my experience they are a lot less shy if they're in a species tank, so at least no other fish in there with them. Then they use the entirety of the tank and can actually be very curious and don't hide much at all. Hope all your fish get and stay well, and that the move goes well for all of them and you!

Why dont you put some filter foam or fly screen to the top of it. It's an easy little modification you can do. Ive done it to my oase crystal skimmer and did not lose and have not lost any shrimp or small fish!!!! Also i attached some right angle tubing to the bottom of the skimmer so the water flows outwards not downwards.

Considering they've managed to live in great big open spaces, I think the only reason to stick them in a small tank is for the reason you said but I would think that most look for food if they want to survive to pass on genes if they can and when you keep them in a tank you can at least feed them yourself if your mantis is in the mood I'm thinking of getting a mantis myself but I'm already setting the terrarium with terrarium plants, the mantis will be okay though won't as long as it's never been treated with chemical's won't it ??, I'm also putting it in a large-ish enclosure it's a little smaller than yours but it's better than spending loads of money by starting in a 32oz cup to then have to buy enclosure after enclosure for my growing mantis, an that's like anywhere from fifty to hundred an fifty quid extra that I needn't have paid out Your Orchid mantis is so so cute, maybe I look into maybe seeing if they are okay for beginner mantis keepers Then once I've gotten that all set up I think I'll look into the little tree frogs, cause I find them just as fascinating as well as mantis's and the little jumping spiders also Loved your set for your adorable mantis I was born in 74 and still remember my mum using a mangle over the top of our twin-tub that you had to push up to the kitchen sink to to use the water and drain it again once you'd done the washing and spinning

Danny, may i ask, how much the price averagely in your country for that kind of shrimps?
@Danny-MOG
@Danny-MOG Ай бұрын
Hi, the average price is around 9-10 euros a piece, it’s advisable with these shrimps to get a bigger colony to start with, they feel really stressed in low numbers :(

@@Danny-MOG wow 😲, I ever have them, but never with that Celebes beauty, only with the blue dot one and other called cardinal which have white legs too. Based from my experience with them, they really hate cool temperature, and yes, maybe the feel safe with numbers, but I just will buy again when there is some package promo maybe 😅, because of their price and they too one of very fragile shrimps (easy to get stress and dying)

After my new neocaridina farm project, I will going to Sulawesi shrimps. Past ago, I made mistake, throw many varieties of Sulawesi shrimps when the season is cool here and many crystals shrimps when the temperature is hot...... Then the results is my regret, as they're become memories/dying...😢

Use h202 6% solution,, 2ml for every 10 litres of water to remove this algae. Dose this solution at night after turns of your lights. And the next morning you need to change 70% of the water. Repeat this process after the 4th day if this algae thrives. ...this algae is very hard to get rid off.. all the best.

As a guy on a forum put it: it may be that quality control is less than desired, so some people end up with wonky filters. I don’t know, but I am certainly not the only one with a helplessly noisy filter. So I’m just not willing to waste my money on one of the most expensive brands out there and end up, time after time, with products with issues 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t even resell them, few ppl waste so much money on these things in my country, we don’t have much support for this brand in my country either, I have to import most things.. too much hassle I’m done with Oase for now, enough 😂
@ebaero6673
@ebaero6673 27 күн бұрын
@@Danny-MOG - fair enough! - I was going to say to try drilling the intake tube inside the pre filter - because that is one area that can cause noise - but you shouldn’t really have to start messing around drilling holes in premium filter - it should work straight out of the box!
