They have similarities, however this is a CA , hand clutch , floor pan , spin out rear rims , and more HP , things a B doesn’t have. The tractor is also physically a bit larger , this is the successor of the C

What's the speed setting for? Does that mean the tractor must be able to pull the sled at a certain speed? Or does it mean they can not exceed it?
@ontariovintagetractor12 күн бұрын
The tractor can not exceed that speed or they will be disqualified
@Grabatire12 күн бұрын
@@ontariovintagetractor Does that mean that if they exceed the speed at any time during the pull they are dq'd or is there a certain point at which it matters?

Great find and congratulations on getting her to run and drive. I’m an IH guy but recently added a styled WC to my collection. I’ve gotten mine to run but have to do some work to the gas tank before I can drive it. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more of that beautiful WC

A Modern 21 Hp V-Twin wouldn't do anything if it was governed at 1500 rpm! It amazes me what that B! 125 CID can do!! A Fregie TO-20 could bail hay and its engine was about the same size! Actually 120 Cid but governed at a race car speed of 2200!!!!!! THe CA was capable of running an All Crop 60 and the B could pull it but AC recommended Aux power unit to run the Combine!! I bet the B could run the combine in a pinch but you may have to take partial swaths in heavy crops!

Thanks for sharing some servicing tips. I just bought one of these CA's and know next to nothing about tractors. I have a question: there is what looks like a drain hole just forward of the transmission oil drain plug. I assume that is just for any moisture build-up to drain out? Mine was plugged with "gunk" and when I freed the "gunk" about a pint of water drained out.

I think that point clean cleared her up for starting. In fact when first checking for spark with that flashing light ya'll might not have noticed that was the only one after another crank.

We drag a lot of stuff to Durham but it’s my favourite pull in the area because there’s every brand of tractor some as new as the 80s and others as old as the 40s

I have a AC WD and it is having a prob. It runs rough after it warms up. Any ideas what this might be?
@ontariovintagetractor2 ай бұрын
Likely your point gap being too small , as it warms up it doesn’t leave enough dwell time , condenser could be going bad or the coil could be breaking down when hot. Also check the ignition timing. Start there and let me know how it goes , happy to help if I can , cheers

For safety, you should lock down the clutch pedal. There is a lever to hold it down. I see that you had trouble determining if it was in neutral. The last thing you want is for it to start immediately and run you over because it's not in neutral. The clutch being held down will prevent that.
@ontariovintagetractor3 ай бұрын
I finally figured out what the purpose of the clutch lock out was lol I’ve never had tractors without electric start and it never made sense until this one lol thanks for the input
