I love my 35, it was a local tractor, it had sat 35 to 40 years when I bought it in 2003

Great find and congratulations on getting her to run and drive. I’m an IH guy but recently added a styled WC to my collection. I’ve gotten mine to run but have to do some work to the gas tank before I can drive it. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more of that beautiful WC

Very brave wrapping your thumb over the starting handle of an unfamiliar tractor! Well done none the less. Regards 🇬🇧 🇬🇧

@@ontariovintagetractor still enough to break limbs. I had an English model Allis B. That little mare would kick harder than a mule no matter how the timing was set up

I think that point clean cleared her up for starting. In fact when first checking for spark with that flashing light ya'll might not have noticed that was the only one after another crank.

Looks and sounds real good now you need to make something up to put on a impact gun or drill to turn it oner like they do on race cars

My family went from horses to a 37 WC my Great Grandfather bought it new it new only had a belt pulley and a drawbar nothing else .. there is countless stories that could be told about that tractor around my home town from 1937 untill about 1952 it was a legend.. unfortunately it was traded in the 50s for an All Crop Combine at an AC Dealer (the farm upgraded to a 51 WD which i also have in our collection).. it was sold to a man then sold again and it was found by serial number by my dad around 1990 he bought it back from the man that had it .. and its now in our collection and it will be my sons when hes born he'll be its 5th generation .. the WC tractor was a legend in the day and its now an amazing piece of history

For safety, you should lock down the clutch pedal. There is a lever to hold it down. I see that you had trouble determining if it was in neutral. The last thing you want is for it to start immediately and run you over because it's not in neutral. The clutch being held down will prevent that.
@ontariovintagetractor
@ontariovintagetractor 3 ай бұрын
I finally figured out what the purpose of the clutch lock out was lol I’ve never had tractors without electric start and it never made sense until this one lol thanks for the input

I learned to drive a tractor on my dad's 1950 Allis WD; the hand clutch was a blessing. As the years went by, I spend many an hour discing, plowing (2-bottom), rotary hoeing, raking hay, hauling loads of ear corn and chopping stalks with that old WD. In 1960, Dad traded it for a gently used 1955 WD-45. Now that was a great tractor! Good luck with your WC!

And never wrap them around the steering wheel either, unless you like broken thumbs when that narrow front end hits something. Almost had that happen a few times.
