What a pair of beautiful cars, but I really love the Cobalt. They make such neat race cars. and what a nice guy Jimmy is, no attitude at all, very humble.

I try not to look back, but this one hit me hard. I bought a new 340 Duster in 1970. Low on bucks, so the only options were a 4 speed, radio, and Sure Grip. So bench seat, rubber floor mats. These were the opposites of sturdy tanks, so the light weight was an advantage even over other 340s. I won a lot of races with it back then, and would give anything to get it back. As others have mentioned, embarrassed and beat a lot of cars with a lot more cubic inches.

Hi I don’t know if you’ll see this but Casey was my dads neighbor growing up, he watched him for hours working on his Camaro. If you could get me in contact with me that would be much appreciated.

Loved to see this coverage. I worked mostly with big inch engines, but the sounds of a highly developed small block at high rpm definitely gets my heartrate going. Also, glad to see Brian Browell. One of the nicest guys in racing and from talking to him he has a very big brain.

Small block 283s and 327s been running 9s for decades in light cars with low gears. I tripped on this in the early 90s when I thought you needed a blower or a built big block.
