Heres s burn.. i hadn't gone yo the track in years but in the early 80s, I took my retired daily Dakota 94, snd cut 3 double 00s back to back. Talked to s guy who did this kind of racing whom I knew from the 80s and told him about doing that he said was luck.... If you out racing and are not cutting lights that are off , and not close you not reading the tree, and most likely your staging the car differently.. till you do, my pro tree back in the day my pro tree varied .022 over a year. The last two were .001 apart. They were a month apart. Stage the same way everytime ssme temp, same rpms. Till you get ss series of tight resction times. Then adjust the car placement it the tree. Good luck.

Things have really changed. Wheel stand in G/stock back in the 60s was never had. They must allow a lot of mods.

Some of those cars wouldn't survive a teardown. I could get rid of 25% of my competition. A 93 Camaro running in the 10s with stock heads and intake...no way!

I raced a 340 Duster Super Stock back in the 70s. I can't believe how much faster these cars are today compared to the 70s. Lot's of year's to sort them out, I guess?
