I always play The Golden Deer Route. I can’t stand playing other routes. I’m not saying Claude vision to open Fodlan is not based of his past childhood trauma, but Claude came from a happy family, no tragic loss of parents, no torture. Which had built him into a mentally stable young man. I think Three Houses teaches us how important it is to heal and to overcome our childhood and past traumas otherwise all our adult decisions will be dictated and haunted by our pasts forever.

i loved SEED back in the day because of two reasons: I was a lot younger and SEED was my first Gundam show that introduced me to the Gundam franchise. now that I'm older and saw most of the Universal Century shows, well... I don't like it as much. At least when it comes to story. I still like the protagonist Gundams though. Strike, Freedom, Destiny, Impulse, Strike Freedom and now Rising Freedom. All of them look cool. But yeah, when it comes to story, SEED doesn't hold a candle to the UC. not even close. So my primary regret is that we don't see Gundams like the Strike or Destiny in the UC.

I've gotta say, I still find the Sleeves to be more like Zeon than the AEUG. Fundamentally, attempting to starve everyone on earth is genocidal, and is not particularly different from dropping Axis on it, aside from the environment being mostly preserved.

I played Black Eagles first - and did it on vacation where I had no internet so didn't have any spoilers. Got to the pivotal point - stopped Edelgard - Rhea wants to execute her right away (not a very "good religious type thing to do btw, her real personality leaks through the mask) - So I choose to not auto-execute - not because I sided with Edelgard, but to find out why, what's the reason for the betrayal? Is she doing it under duress (family is held hostage)? Is she working for someone else? Are there other traitors in the midst? Nope, off with my head too eh? Fine, never trusted you anyway. That's a huge crime against the player, so I wouldn't say Rhea did mostly did nothing wrong.

Late to the party but always found it weird how wild the speculation around his ‘red eye’ was. If you’ve read any amount of fantasy manga it should be pretty apparent that it’s the artists interpretation of his ‘blood lust’ or ‘murderous intent’ or one of the other names for it. Very common for it to appear in darker manga and light novels and such to show that a specific character is such a badass that you can see/feel the amount of blood on their hands

Whenever me and the director of G-Saviour sat and talked about the movie, he definitely felt the movie lacked a lot. He never seen Gundam until the during post production. He had wished to do more battles and as have less dialogue and have more mobile suits but sadly the budget held that all back.

Sci Fi channel showed "Showa era" anime on Saturday mornings, and going to the mall was cool because they arcades. The 90s and early 2000s was the golden era of anime in America.

Good take, but if this was what they were consciously going for, my biggest problem would be that it didn't go far enough. Show me the good guys devolving into villains sure yeah they did that, no one liked the main cast. Some were confused, others were frustrated and some wondered why they were so dumb suddenly so dumb but no one was cheering for tekkadan at the end of S2. Good. So where are the new good guys then? The EF doesn't always stay good, but that's why we have the AEUG. where are they? Are we supposed to forget about the things tekkaden fight for as well? The problems and, keyword now, structures that spawned this band of demons that was the tekkaden in the first place? They were not only unsolved, but actually reinforced by the end of s2! And the ending played it like it was the "best of all worlds"! The narrative and metanarrartive submission to injustice is anything but Gundam and IBO never showed us a new "good guys" that would struggle against the problems posed at the beginning of the show. This is defeatist in its purest form and spit in the face of Gundam asa whole.

I enjoyed 00 gundam the best out of all the gundam series. Still I prefer S1 than S2. S1 felt a more familiar to a real world setting with different faction inspired by real life counterpart, including civilian life from the point of view of Louise & his GF. S2 just felt 180 degree switch to Anime plot. Too sudden for me. Suddenly top Union (Inspired from USA) pilot became over the top Mr. Bushido. His best friend has a mad love over a girl met long time ago. Saji suddenly turned from Civilian to a very capable military pilot. And all faction suddenly gel together so well under the watch of Innovate? Like, Union (USA) , AEU (European Union) , HRL (China Communist) . Their top leader suddenly became irrelevant and lead by Innovate (Looks like K.pop Idol) and their smug attitude.
