Oh the Park4Night reviews are a constant source of amusement. We saw one for a free area with 10 hard standing spaces, free water, services and FREE electric all next to a beautiful park, yet some lovely individual gave it 1 star because and I quote "there were local ladies unnecessarily walking and chatting in the park" However Alison would love your Parkup as she really likes the sound of trains when trying to sleep. Shame about the weather, but I give you credit as it's so hard to film when it's raining. You take a shot, then have to dry the lens which I often forget and end up with unusable footage. I'm also so glad you mentioned the feelings when you get back to the van. We always enjoy the day and then start worrying all the same things as we head back. At least it's not just us. Did we miss the explanation! What is "cheus" or "juice" or whatever it was Steve said...

You’ve got it just right. Life for living so balancing work and time off is an art. You have definitely done better than we did when working. I totally get that feeling of squeezing everything into a few short weeks so getting away for a few months at a time is a winner. Lovely vlog as ever. 🤗👍

Thank you ladies, whatever happens with us and our van, we will always cherish the fact we have been able to strike a balance the last couple of years. If we wish to settle down again properly that might have to change, but this mix has given us so many opportunities to see things. Having these couple of months abroad without any other commitments has been amazing of course, but we still enjoy our little mini UK trips the rest of the year 🥰❤️ And that's what's great about your channel, casually exploring the UK from season to season - you've definitely got it just right too! ❤️

Thank you Ilona, steering clear of dodgy folk might be tricky, we both wake up to the same one each day 😜 Rain, heat, cold, wind, we'll moan, enjoy it and persevere in whatever manner suits at the time as we strange humans do. We do like seeing things in a different light so the bad/extreme weather can have its merits. And yes, it's quite funny how we can explore wherever we like now via the medium of youtubers, type in vanlife and any place in the world and inevitably something will crop up. We're spoilt for choice these days! Take care and thank you 🥰❤️

I was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen a few weeks ago. Did you see the ski jumping site? I’m not in to sports but standing at ground level looking up those “tracks”, wow. You can actually see part of it in the upper right corner when you are in the pool/lake. It was so hot when I was there, I didn’t know about the lake 🤷♀️ well we can’t see everything.

Sometimes places look even better in the rain - Scotland can be one. And if not better, then beautiful in a different way. Unfortunately, the rain got so heavy at times it became impossible to know whether that was true here or not 😂 But we're still glad we saw it and would give it another go in sunnier times!

😂😂 Those fair maiden words are pure poetry 👌 What we didn't mention was during that time we got served by no less than 4 different people, I mean it should've been our own personal waiter that acted upon any request we fancied at those prices. In fact, we should've had the champagne those ladies were drinking, it might have cost the same and we'd have enjoyed it more 😂 Thank you and a big hello to you in Skåne ❤️🇸🇪

I saw the Christmas museum and not the shop (apart from going through). Very interesting with antique decorations. And had beer in a very old restaurant. Felt like walking back in time hundreds of years. Very pretty town

You were very very chatty today :). Poor Stephen, you can tell he was too hot and wanted to just melt in silence :). That will never happen will it :D. It can be very expensive in that area, and quite posh. Germans can be very traditional in that way. You are too near to Zurich for things to ever be cheap there. Keep happy! The chattiness is almost like a nervous habit I think, but equally I'll wake up in the morning talking and full of energy and, well, you can imagine how much Stephen likes that 🙈 It's insane how hot the van gets sometimes and Stephen does struggle with it more, not that I'm keen either. We have a USB fan at least. We did notice it seemed more expensive there, however it's still on par with the UK for prices we think, which is to say, still expensive but we're used to it I suppose 😂 Thank you for your kind comments as always 🥰❤️

Aww...what a bummer it rained. This area is so beautiful, vibrant and mediterranean in spring and summer, and in good weather. ;) Is your itinerary already set or are you still open for suggestions? You seemed to have really enjoyed your time in Rothenburg. There are still several other historic, quaint German towns that you might enjoy. And if you are willing to hop over the Border to France there are also some beautiful French towns in the Black Forest area.

It's such a shame, but that's the way it goes! Lake Eibsee only looked so gorgeous because the sun was out; the next day it had gone and I doubt we would've seen it in the same light. I hear you though, we've seen the photos and it's sad we didn't get to see Lindau in all its glory. Another time perhaps! Sadly our journey has reached the end (we've still a few more videos to show though!) so we can't go anywhere just yet, but we do appreciate the suggestions in regards to what we like, in particular the French side of the black forest region, we would love to see some of the towns there 😍

Thank you tomcat, although you might be disappointed about the gateaux, which is absolutely shocking I know 🙈 Yes it's 5 weeks constant including weekends, just the hours in between that we're off. A bit of a slog but we need it greatly! And while the transition time-wise between our videos will by no means be seamless, they'll at least keep coming out most Sundays. We are actually back in the UK now, so there's a couple of Germany ones left to show, then some UK trips we're doing before the big work shift, so most of those videos will go out while we're working. And then suddenly, a week later, it'll be 5 weeks later in "real time". God, did I ever say I overexplain things 😂🙈

Hello, we don't work all around Europe, this was time we booked off for it. We do security work back in England for various periods across the year, and then try to travel in between 😊 It works for us for now, but who knows about the future!

Thank you Peter, absolutely, without work none of this would be possible 😂 However, we should still be releasing videos most weeks, when there's a stint of work coming up, we try to film a few close together and then stagger them across the Sundays. Not ideal, but it means we stay consistent with releasing videos that way.

Ah now that makes more sense! Thank you 😍 What was also a bit confusing is it seems to be named two different lakes, Bodensee the east side, Obersee the west. I assume both are German names since they have "see" on the end.

It's mad really isn't it, I mean give a bad review if somewhere is genuinely terrible/unsafe/not what it seems etc, but to act like the dedicated motorhome spot (free!) was some kind of mean-spirited act is just...😂 It suited us, we slept well and the train station was next door to get a 10 minute train into Lindau. Bonus! 😍

It's been wonderful to explore on a whim, no strict itinerary, just drifting from place to place, and Germany has been lovely to do that in. Thank you, we've been very fortunate to visit these places. However, don't worry, we don't intend to miss a week if we can help it - we planned it so that we film videos in advance in order to release one each Sunday while we're working, and there'll be a few UK adventures before that too 😊 It does mean we'll be out of sync with real time but hopefully we'll try to explain that between the videos 😂 Needs must though, gotta get those fish and chip pennies in 😆 Thank you again ❤️

Thank you for taking us to another beautiful place. Shame about the weather - it can really influence how we see/feel about a place. You are so right about not being able to adjust to our weather swings - we just got back from a week away in our caravan, 2 days ago it was 30C and yesterday back to 18/19C and we were only in the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire area - not abroad! I hope you will still be able to get your videos out - I really enjoy watching/listening to them and always look forward to them. Obvs work comes first. Stay well and safe both of you. ❤️❤️

Thank you Irene ❤️ We will still have videos out while we're at work, as we tried to record a few in quick succession so that we can release them across the Sundays while we're working, but yes work (well, money earned from work, not the work itself 😂) is a priority. At the moment, we feel we have a good work/travel balance, even if our "timeline" might be confusing sometimes. Yes you are so right about the weather and temperature! I honestly don't think we (as in British people) moan for the sake of it about weather. It's just so changeable you can't get used to anything. I hope you had a lovely time in your caravan either way, and thank you again ❤️ 🥰
