My favorite headstrap. The S3 Pro is way more comfortable than the M3 Pro the 5200mah batteries just doesn't keeps the Q3 charging. The B100 batteries you can put one one at 20% and it'll charge up to around 90% while playing. You can get around 6 1/2 of sold playtime with 2 batteries.

S3 Pro is the top end headstrap, but for those on a budget, can get the M3 Pro ($50) which doesn't have the side display nor forehead fan. The main difference is the battery: The S3 uses the B100 battery (10000 MAh) versus the M3/M2 use the B2 battery (5200MAh). There is a dual charger dock ($40) for the B2 battery that includes dock, B2 battery, and USBC cable, but no power adapter. As of May 19 2024 the B2 dual dock is the same price as the B100 triple battery dock. There is a M2/M3 to B100 adapter for $50 so you can use the B100 batteries (BOBOVR B100U Upgrade Kit for M1/M2/M3 Strap). In my opinion, if you don't have any of these items yet, better to just go with S3 out of the gate ($90) as the upgrade kit will cost you more than the M3 Pro ($50) + upgrade kit ($50). In my case I don't play it enough to need those upgrades so I have M3 Pro with dual B2 battery dock.

Thing to note is they are not backwards compatible and B2's will not speed charge (They take about three hours to fully charge on a dock). If you're buying fresh kit just get the B100 strap, it will be cheaper in the long run.

I bought the S3 because I heard from another KZbinr that it fixed the issue the M version had with the battery where they weren't strong enough but it turns out that this is doing the same thing. My Quest 3 is still draining even though my battery is not dead yet. Is anybody else having that issue?

I got my dock today! ... now only if the extra batteries and strap hadn't been shipped in their own separate boxes 🙃 if you bring up the lack of wall wort the best one to get for reliable charging is the Anker 717. It has over the power you need but will check what the device requires so it will be able to hold a solid 100 watts

I did mention the lack of a charger in the video It’s pretty common now amongst electronic devices. Just look at the latest mobile phones from Samsung and Apple for instance. Anker is a pretty solid brand when it comes to chargers. Can’t really go wrong there.

@@MyTechGearGaming yea I watched the rest of the video I just made this comment at the beginning. I will say some of those 100 watt multiport wall worts are only 100 watts combine and can struggle to push it through a single port. The one I recommended can for sure push the max wattage though

Love the attention to detail. Great video. I wish I would've seen this earlier. I got desperate and googled where to get a second battery and dock. Found one but it was produced in China so...best case it's a long wait. Sadly the alternative was equivalent. I should be getting it in a few days I think (it just hit the states) and I hope it's actually good. I only really need two batteries to swap between (especially if it charges in an hour). If this current buy fails I'll just pick this up instead. Looks quality. I like that it gives all the relevant stats.

@@MyTechGearGaming I'm sad to report it finally came in and I didn't notice that it's an older generation of the battery pack. It doesn't fit. I'm ordering this one now but it won't get here till mid-August. I should've bought this version ahead of time just in case. lol Amazon's return policy is pretty fair from what I remember.

@kyleb8117 you do need the B100 batteries for the S3 Pro strap. The older B2 batteries don’t work with it. At least you have 1 battery to play with until your other one arrives.

Do you need a 100w wall charger or a 45w charger will work ?

It depends how many batteries you want to charge? If you only have one battery then a 45w charger will be fine. If you have 3 batteries then you will need at least a 90w charger and I’d recommend at least 100w just to give yourself a bit of a buffer.

I'll buy another battery as soon as it's available on Amazon again. Maybe the dock for convenience. But there is no reason to have 3 batteries if you only have one headset as two already provides infinite playtime lol
