May ask else what can I substitute for the herb at the end ? Is not easy to find fresh here in Florida
@AJVAN_3 ай бұрын
Usual recipe is 2kg of aronia, 1L of water and 1kg of sugar (or you can use honey). Lemon to taste. Also, you can mince the berries before cooking. You will get much darker color and more juice
@peacejusticeforall68063 ай бұрын
Just eat them with yoghurt no sugar no boiling to get the best of Aronia

Completed my first mini portion today, and greatly appreciate your post, since you provided the answers to a few question straight away; ingredients parts to parts, lid snug, to then boil, and that I could place on the shelf including the length of approx a year. Sincerest Robin

My goodness, it's not a house, it's a big ranch you guys have, where exactly is this? Very beautiful and beautiful surroundings. The jam is well made, but you should have removed the lemon seeds because when it boils, the jam becomes bitter. good luck.

Enjoyed this calm, wordless, informative video; from her entrance into her lovely garden, in her dainty blue slippers, to her gathering of vegies, to the sweet smile for her loyal companion, and then the freshly made recipe. I feel as thou I stepped into a charming picture book.

When aronia is boiled, doesn't a great loss of minerals and vitamins, especially anthocyanin, occur?

I understood that combo of elderberry and Aronia berries was a very high mixture of polyphenols-especially as a heart medicine… correct me if I heard wrong? Thanks. I already bought elderberry and echinacea “tincture” I take 2 droperfulls each day..please share how much sugar & water.. I use Zylitol instead sugar…

Hello, great recipe but what about quantities? How much sugar and aroina ?
@Acts-1322 Жыл бұрын
I would be very careful with how much sugar you put in. It's a fast track to insulin resistance, heart disease & fatty liver. Liquid fructose is no joke, and cancels out any aronia benefit

Thank you for sharing your video. May I ask what brand is your 2 burner stove? Learning to pickle and can so your video is very helpful. Also what brand are the lids?
@oldfashionedcountrycooking9343 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Burner brand is Iskra from Slovenia. Lids are common in my country (Croatia). We don't have here lids like in America. Something like this www.amazon.com/Canning-Pickles-Kitchen-Storage-Caviar/dp/B07QCP54Z3/ but larger (24 oz, 720ml)

First of all way too much salt... second of all you don't say which strength vinegar you are using because not all vinegar strengths are available in every country. Your vinegar strength in your country is different than whats available in the USA. Third of all, you need to cover the jars with at least one inch of water. This process is unsafe.
@oldfashionedcountrycooking9343 Жыл бұрын
Vinegar is 9%. Green beans made this way are great.
