I breed pomskys. Have bred them for 7 years. The big difference is where you get your pomsky. Large breeders with many dogs tend to result in pomskys with behavior problems and lack of cuddling. I am a small breeder and my puppies grow up in a house with a family and other dogs teaching them l, us loving on them til they go to their forever home at 8 weeks. My clients tell me all the time ...best dog I have ever had. I'm convinced the early interaction and love a pomsky gets before 8 weeks old has a huge impact on their temperament and behavior. The only thing I agree with is that they do shed...alot.
@JamesandLaurentСағат бұрын
Absolutely! Beedi is very social with other dogs and with people, and we attribute it to her upbringing before we got her at 8 weeks.

We are a new Pomsky family. Tama is 4th generation from a very reputable breeder. At her final booster and rabies vaccine appointment at 4 months old, she was 14.8 pouds. She has husky feet, a longer muzzle, and is getting pretty tall. She has a lavender coat and hazel/green eyes. We have had dogs all of our lives (and I'm 67, so that's a long time), but she is the largest dog we've had. We have had Pomeranians (most were rescued from bad backyard breeders), Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, a Chiweenie rescue, a Chihuahua rescue, and a kitten rescue that turned out to be part Maine Coon and thinks she is a dog so she growls at the UPS truck. We did foster an abandoned/abused Red Heeler and found that pup its ideal home on 20 acres with a retired couple. I had a yellow lab get dumped on our doorstep, hugely pregnant and starved--she had 9 pups within the week and we were able to get them all healthy and find homes. But this is our first time with a dog with Husky in the mix. She is so precious! The one thing I would suggest for anyone is to make sure you have a fan for them. We even got one with the built in water/ice for extra cooling and we put it near her bed (which is of course at the head of one side of the king sized bed because she is the QUEEN). She is totally food motivated and a smiling bully at mealtime, so controlling that is a challenge with our current Chihuahua rescue and my 17 yo old man Dachshund.

If I get a smaller Pomsky would it be more likely to be a lap dog cuz it would probably have more Pomeranian
@JamesandLaurent24 күн бұрын
Possibly, but it's hard to predict. If you get it from a breeder, some breed Pomskies that are 3/4 Pom and only 1/4 Husky. If you really want a lapdog, you're better off getting something else.

I’ve got a 6 month old pomsky at home. I thought it was going to be a different ball game when we acquired her. but although she’s such a bad pup sometimes, my wife and kids love her. Just be prepared to replace anything you leave out without direct supervision because a pomsky will chew it up when you least expect it.

She lives outside of the City and say's what I pay to live in a Crummy neighborhood here in Md. I could afford a decent home outside the City there. She said people are way more Kind and the Crime rate is way lower. Crime rate is really high here, people are rude and places are expensive. I may just head that way. Great video.
