As a Lifelong Racineian .. Thanks for the beatifull video .. Someimes, we forget what a great place this is with all the negitive things that occures in any town or city... ... We have great history here, which has been slowly disappearing .. Many are trying to preserve it for future generations. Thanks Again !!!

Them: Top 5 things to do in Racine! Me (having grown up in Racine) : The only 5 things you can do in Racine.
@JamesandLaurent Жыл бұрын
We bet a lot of people who grew up in Racine haven't even done these 5 things 😁😂.

What an interesting channel. I found you in researching for a trip to Burgundy but also love your Wisconsin videos too. (Bonjour from Appleton!) J'avais toujours pensé que quelq'un dois faire des videos de Wisconsin. C'est un très beau lieu :)

Thanks for the kind words. We have lots of ideas for other Wisconsin videos. Whenever we get around to filming them :)

Great video!! I've been living here my whole life without thinking of all the places Racine has to offer

Lots of people are like that and don't think about exploring their own city 😂😅.

Visit O&H I absolutely love the Kringle it’s amazing!! Also some of the metal sculptures at the RAM were made by bill Reid who actually creates them at my school in the art room!!

The kringle is great, but boy did I hit some bad neighborhoods! Could you do Kenosha and Lake Geneva sometime too?
@JamesandLaurent2 жыл бұрын
Kenosha unlikely. Lake Geneva possibly. But we have other videos in the plans for now.

1: went to the sc Johnson building and had a tour in elementary school. Went to the golden rondelle too. It was cool ig. 2: yeah, the art museum is really neat but it is definitely a modern art museum. 3: lots of historic buildings and they’re really beautiful but PLEASE be careful walking on college ave please 4: the racine zoo has like five animals and it used to be free and now it costs money. My moms friend used to work there a long time ago and I got to pet the baby otters and feed the giraffes and that was cool. The bug building is legit. 5: be careful on state street :) the wustum museum is nice and they have summer art camps for kids, which are fun if you have kids or are a kid. Overall racine is nice but like these are the ONLY five things to do here and there’s a lot of ‘bad neighborhoods’ so like. Do be aware of that. The Panda Express here sucks and isn’t nearly as good as the ones in either oak creek or kenosha. Don’t talk to people from the north side about the north side. They’re very sensitive about being from the north side. Also the school district is total fucking ass! Overall I would rate this city a 6/10 because I live in a neighborhood I like but if you want to do anything fun, you gotta go to Milwaukee or Kenosha.

I know this was a sight seeing video but seriously Racine has amazing pizza places like wells brothers and durangos. Just saying

Thanks for the recommendations. We never talk about food and restaurants in our videos because there is so much turnover in that business that our videos would be outdated before even getting released.

Wow, I was born in Racine and lived here until I was 13, I’m 22 years old now and looking back all I remember was Racine being really ghetto but now looking back I feel like it’s a lot nicer then I thought, maybe it’s just all of these places are in the nice parts of downtown Racine. I lived maybe 2 miles out from the downtown area so maybe that’s it.

You could probably say this about a lot of cities. But for us, it was a great trip.

I love those 3d models. Wish they were more accessable/easier to go and see someplace without doing the whole tour.

Too bad you could not include Wingspread on your video. Glad you got to see the beach. Will need to teach you to pronounce it Raa cine, with a long a.
@JamesandLaurent2 жыл бұрын
Haha, we've always struggled with pronouncing French words the American way.
@EmilyWood1996 Жыл бұрын
I KNOW there’s a ‘right way’ to pronounce it, but honestly having lived here all my life, I use both pronunciations on a daily basis. Like the different ways to say Caribbean. Depends on the context for the pronunciation for me at least.

Nonsense. It is nice to hear non-native speakers, and Laurent is not hard to understand at all. Let's be welcoming, as we would like others to be when we travel or move to another place.
