The Bible says the Lake of Fire doesn't happen until after the 1000 year "Millennium" see Revelation 20>. And Fudge was correct that it is just a parable for many reasons as he stated; "Abraham's bosom" is obviously a parable style illustration because a bosom certainly isn't big enough to house all the saints redeemed from the earth. "a drip of water to cool the rich man's tongue" would certainly not affect the heat from a burning hellfire. Jesus was pulling illustrations from the commonly known Greek Mythology of the day about a place called Hades where bad dead people go when they die. It is mythology...a myth. Not a true to life story. The bible is full of the truth about what happens when we die. Jesus summarizes the bible's teaching in John 5:28-29, "The hour is coming in the which all that are IN THEIR GRAVES will hear His voice and come forth; they that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation." The dead are in their graves "sleeping" awaiting one of the two resurrections that Jesus just mentioned above.

@LarrenCole You’re right that the LOF does not come on the scene until the end of the Millennium. Where you’re wrong is that the millennium spoken of is future. Paul said that the resurrection of the just and unjust was ABOUT TO happen (Acts 24:15). In Jesus parage in Matt 13, He alludes to Daniel 12 regarding the resurrection and places at the end of the then current old covenant age, and not at the end of the coming messianic age. The messianic age has no end. The Millennium was a qualitative number, not a quantitative number. Satan’s little season began at Nero’s persecution of the Christian’s in the 1st century and Satan’s demise was by 70AD with the destruction of the Temple, Jerusalem, and the ‘Holy’ People who became spiritual Sodom and Gomorrah, Egypt and the Harlot. The Harlot was the one who killed the prophets and the Savior. That can only mean the Harlot was old covenant Jerusalem who were the only ones who killed the prophets and the Savior. Hades was the word for Sheol consistently used by the translators in the Septuagint, i.e. the Scriptures that Jesus and the apostles use throughout the New Testament. Sheol/Hades was a real place, albeit the metaphysics of it are not disclosed to us. Samuel was resting in Sheol/Hades when the witch of Endor called him up. Jesus wasn’t just using myths about Hades; He was using the commonly known fact that everyone who died went to Sheol/Hades to await the resurrection. Hades was not hell or a place of suffering, at least not for OT believers. I was not using Abraham’s bosom (also translated as Abraham’s side; Elysium in Greek) literally; it is a symbolic name in that everyone who died in faith would go to Abraham’s bosom since he was the father of the covenant of faith. Hades also included a bad side; also well recognized by Jews of the day. The wicked would go there and were tormented, just like the parable describes. It’s not about literal water and tongues. And I am not saying this was/is hell. There’s no such thing as ‘hell’, at least in the way we modern people think of it. The original English word ‘hel’ or ‘kel’ was actually synonymous with Sheol/Hades. The definition has been changed throughout the years to mean a place of eternal torment. The Apostles’ Creed is mistranslated as hell. ‘Ad inferum’ in latin was actually Sheol/Hades and should be translated that way and you can find some versions of the creed that say Hades. Jesus did descend into Hades and was the first (firstfruits) to rise out of Hades. He very clearly says that his physical resurrection is a sign to that generation then living and then He ascended into Heaven. Until that time, no person had ever gone to Heaven. Not even Enoch or Elijah since Hebrews said that they died in faith, awaiting the promise/redemption. You’re correct in that there was an age in which the dead ‘slept’, awaiting the resurrection, but that age is in the past. Jesus, in a few verses prior to what you quoted said “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, AND NOW IS, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.” If we still sleep upon our deaths, that means no one except Jesus is currently in Heaven. It also means that we still die in our sins and are waiting our redemption. But praise God because the resurrection spoken of in the New Testament is not one at the end of supposed human history. It occurred in 70AD when all of the OT saints were raised (the Greek word for resurrected simply means ‘raised’) out of Sheol/Hades to Heaven and every single believer who dies in the Lord today is immediately judged and raised to Heaven. All the OT wicked were thrown into the LOF to perish (not everlastingly) and every unbeliever today gets the LOF. Sheol/Hades was for the Old Covenant Age, not the Messianic Age. The conditionalist view is much more cohesive with the preterist eschatological viewpoint. Otherwise, we're left in the 'neither here nor there' rather than the 'already, not yet' like so many like to say we're currently in. We are in the 'already' period. Christ has won full victory over the covenantal, spiritual death that Adam first experienced. It was never about physical bodies. They were made of dust and were always meant to return to dust (see Heb 9:27-28). I'm glad you and I get to go directly to be with Christ upon our deaths rather than slumbering for who knows how long.

If i understand your question about associating Moses writing the second set of stone tablets, the answer is NO. Moses didn't write the stone tablets. God wrote the stone tablets with His own finger. Moses wrote the ceremonial law that was placed in the side pocket of the ark. Moses wrote it with his hand. So the phrase, "Moses hand" refers to the ceremonial law, not the ten commandments law. God wrote the ten commandment law with his finger. See Ex 31:18 "And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

Due to the layout of Exodus 20 where God starts speaking again, the contents of the Two Table would be everything from Ch. 20 the beginning to the end of Ch. 23. Using Hebrew, it will all fit on 2 tables written on both sides. This is a controversial view, but substantiated by many Jewish sources. Note in Chapter 24 that Moses writes a copy of all this to be put on the outside of the Ark, in an accessable place. God instructed the kings to make a copy for themselves to rule by, something that never seemed to occur. It was misplaced by Josiah's time and found by workmen. That's another lesson!

If you look at the 10 reasons, they are actually showing that the Feast days were the things that were nailed to the cross. That is Paul's whole point in this text: The Ceremonial Sabbath days and the Feast days ended with the death of Jesus because they pointed forward to Jesus the Messiah. I hope that was made clear if you watch the whole video. The Feasts still have some spiritual significance helping us understand Christ's mission in the heavenly sanctuary.

@@LarrenCole Daniel 9:27 is clear that the only thing that ended at the cross was animal sacrifice and grain offering, the Hebrew is very clear in it's meaning. Daniel 7:25 is clear in it's meaning. The Little Horn power thinks it can alter or change " times and Law" . The Aramaic is clear also. Times (plural) God's appointed times and Law, an word used for unchangeable Law. When you say God's appointed times are done away with, you take the Catholic position on God's Torah Law. The Bishop Enright letter dated 1905 claims this, as does The Catholic Christian Instructed on page 204. A look at history and Thomas Aquinas work Summa Theological would instruct you that the phrase "the old Law" and divisions not found in scripture and especially in the Torah like "Moral, Ceremonial, and Civil or Judicial" are found in Catholic writing also. If you use Galatians 4:8-10, you are interpretation is wrong, the Galatians were going back to heathenism, not Judaism, because Paul says they had a time when they didn't know God. Be warned, the Galatians issue is central to the 1888 Milwaukee conference and the horrible infighting that took place. Jones, Waggoner and EG White were the only ones who stood on the right ground, all the rest of leadership made their opinions a god unto themselves. @@larrybedouin2921 How an a Covenant comment here. The word mistranslated "new" in this text is the Greek word "kainos" and not the word "neos". What's the difference? Neos is the word for new, brand new, but it's NOT used here. The word used here is "kainos" for RENEWED. It is the same Covenant as the one made in the Garden with our parents Adam and Eve. It involves the SEED, the coming Messiah. When they fell, continuation was given in the provision made. Same covenant made with Noah, same covenant made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Same covenant promised in your quote from Jeremiah 31. Provisions are made for successive generations and the Covenant Law never changes. God's purpose in covenanting is to bring mankind to a place where they can obey Him. That "enmity" given to man at the fall is the strong cause-based opposition towards our enemy, Satan, the only wedge against Satan's efforts to cause us to want to keep God's Laws. Therefore, to create ways through words as reasons to discard and violate any of God's Torah Law is to take Satan's position towards God Himself via the way he made our parents in the garden fall, doubting His Word, His Law.

Look in your bible dear friend and see that Peter kept the 7th day (Saturday) as the Sabbath. All the apostles kept the 7th day as the Sabbath. Sunday is the 1st day of the week. Look that up in dictionary or encyclopedia. The Bible says, "The 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God." Luk 23:56 says, "They (th disciples) returned and prepared spices and ointments and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment". Act 17:2 says that the apostle "Paul, as his custom was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures." That Sabbath day was the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Good response, but did you know that the 7th day Sabbath is not determined by any astronomical body? Nothing in space has an astronomical cycle that is divisible by the number 7. The 4th Commandment Sabbath is completely independent of astronomical cycles and is only reckoned by a sequence count of 7 days. Starting with the first 7th day of earth's history, the count began without using the sun moon or stars to regulate the count. So, the second Sabbath day of earth's history occurred on the 14th day of its history. From then on, every 7th day was the Holy Sabbath day and has been un-interrupted throughout history until this day. The Ceremonial Sabbath days found in Leviticus are a completely different story. They are regulated by the annual cycle of the sun. They happen on a calendar date. Same with the "New Moon" celebrations in the Bible which were regulated by the lunar cycle.
